Have never used the The FirmIn (http://www.thefirmin.com).

 

Have used Tops in the past (http://www.tops69.com).

 

In general, most escorts in DC are well below par. The best bet is if there are escorts visiting from other cities. My best experiences in recent years have been with Steven Draker, Mario and Olivier and Kristian when they have been in town.

It's kind of hard to not to keep taking to offense the constant belittling of Washington dc escorts in every other post. There are plenty of lads here who are indeed enjoyable. I have been here off and on for the last 5 years enjoying the company of gentlemen for the last two and I have found some quite cool studs. If one is to make such a statement like the escorts in dc are pretty stale, one would probably hold more weight if ONE has ventured out and seen all the city has to offer.

Maybe I should have said that 98% of the escorts in D.C. are way below even the average escort in other cities. You happen to be mixed race - I wouldn't hire you because mixed race, asian, stongly hispanic and black men don't do anything for me sexually. Not prejudiced, they just don't turn me on sexually.

 

If you have ever taken a look at the pictures of the menu available through Tops agency or The Firm In in DC, most of them should be paying instead of getting paid. The ones that claim to be versatile or top can't get it up most of the time in my experience.

 

I happen to be into white anglo-saxon men or european men. I'm totally versatile so top, bottom or versatile is fine with me but a versatile escort is best for me. I have hired lots of great guys in Philly and New York. Just this past weekend I experienced three great escorts in NY. All of them were hot, great tops and great bottoms. Two of them were porn stars with no attitude, endowed big, no attitude, great kissers, bottomed with enthusiasm and topped with just as much enthusiasm.

 

That just hasn't been my experience in recent years in DC. My best experiences in recent years in DC have been with visiting escorts from out of town like Marco and Olivier, Steven Draker, Kristian, Brett Holt. Sorry, but these guys are head and shoulders above even the better escorts in DC.

That would conclude that I am not your type of lad, doesn't however mean I am not decent at what I do and adversely doesn't support your opinion that Washington dc escorts are below par. DC escorts may not be your type, understandable. But when 3 of the escorts you have listed above as top of their game have come to me for advice, it's pretty hard for me to convince myself that I am doing something wrong and thus deserve the title as a sub-par escort. Well nothing other than being born to the wrong set of parents, which I suppose I should apologize for, though I am sure if my dad knew of your qualifications for a decent escort 22 years ago he would have picked a more suitable mate for your liking.

 

This was one of those moments where I should have poured a glass of bourbon, but it's only 11am and torque and knob creek don't mix really well. I learned that the SECOND day.

I've hired Alex from The Firm and over the years a few from Tops. Alex was very good. Tops has had a tendency to allow the listings of escorts who have left the agency to linger for awhile, and the pay-to-view feature is a major annoyance. That said, the escorts I have hired from Tops have lived up to their listings and I had no complaints.

I travel to DC often and have hired a few guys there. Had fun with them and no real bad experiences to report. I do think many DC Escorts are on the higher end of the price range. No doubt there is not the same huge pool of guys you will find in NYC or LA. I haven't used any of the DC agencies so I can't help the original poster out with that.

 

As for you Jay, I've always found your pics attractive but I hire mostly versatile guys or bottoms. But it wouldn't be the first time I've had fun with another Top. :*

Here's a question that draws me out of the woodwork. I have lived in DC for 16 years and do have to say that when compared to other major markets it does not seem up to par.

 

Tops has been around the longest and seems to be the best of a mediocre lot if you ask me. Although I must admit its been a long while since I hired anyone from there. I have not hired from the Firm but know a couple of the guys on thier site and they seem reputable based on what the "working boys" tell me.

 

I was wondering about JockBoys and this Centaur operation. I have been holding back using either just to see if they last longer than a few weeks or months to prove thiey are reputable. The last time I checked the Jock Boys site was functional but it was down for a day or two.

 

Several of the guys on both Jock Boys and Centaur also hustle out of Omega bar on P Street.

The site urges you to use their website for contact; and, it suggests you fill out their "Playtime Survey" to help with "matching" clients to companions. I have tried on two different occasions to submit the "Playtime Survey." I was unsuccessful both times. Centaur lists a phone number, so I called the number (both times) to see if they could help, or to see if they were having server issues. Both times, I got their answering machine--I left my name, number, and a quick blurb about the trouble I was having with their survey. Both calls were during their posted operating hours. I did not receive a call back either time.

 

I'm new to this forum, but I've noticed "JT..." has mentioned more than once how he "moves on" if he gets no response (via email). I've decided to move on as well, but thought I'd pass this info to others who are interested in Centaur.

 

On a different "note," I followed the advice someone gave me in one of my other posts--I called Premier in Philly.

I did not give Centaur a try in part because of a general feeling of unease about them and their services. It would appear to me that based on your experience my advice would be to move on to something else. Tops is the best of the agencies in DC based on my experience. However, I have not used them in more than two years so I don't know how things are these days.

 

JT's advice is solid and a pracitce I follow as well. My rule is 24 to 48 hours for an initial contact response. If I don't hear from a guy or agency in that time its time to move on to the next one on the list. Trust your gut instinct in these instances.
