Fratboys Harrisburg

Hi all.

 

Back in August I posted a message wondering what happened to Fratboys in Harrisburg. Eventually they did come back. i have had several appointments with them. The guy who operates Fratboys has always been very nice. However, now they seem to be gone again. After about three weeks of trying to e-mail without success I finally left a phone mssage. I received a return message from Lance when I was out that it is better to call than to e-mail. So, I called the same day I received his message but only got the answering machine and have continued getting the answering machine even today, six days later. Lance is nice, but the service often seems unreliable. It is too hard to set anything up. Does anyone know what is going on there?

 

This leads me to thinking that independent escorts may be the way to go, but there don't seem to be many sites advertising independents. Does anyone have a suggestion. Thanks.

I'm very familiar with Fratboys in Harrisburg, PA. Sometimes I think I'm way too familiar! I also have times when I'm frustrated while waiting for a return call ... and it's extremely frustrating because Lance is a friend of mine.

 

However, I have also seen the other side of the situation. It is impossible to spend 5 minutes with Lance and get his attention because the Fratboys phone rings non-stop. Unfortunately, the vast majority of incoming calls DO NOT result in business. People continually call, want information, want pics, etc., etc., etc., but never follow through. Though I do not make it a practice to compliment Lance much, I must say that he has the patience of a saint to deal with all the crap phone calls and emails he gets.

 

Harrisburg is a very small city, and is also very conservative. As some have put it, it doesn't have a gay "community", it has a gay "scene". Unfortunately, that exhibits itself in the hypocrisy that can be found. I cannot tell you how many times that I have personally been in the local AOL chatroom and watched as people bashed the Fratboys, commenting "how could you have sex for money", etc. as well as calling them derogatory names. Yet I know FOR A FACT that these same individuals have hired a Fratboy on different occasions!

 

Lance and the Fratboys attempt to do what they can to fulfill a need in the Harrisburg area. There are many times that I'm on Lance's case to run the business a little more "business-like", but I will admit that many in our local community don't make it easy for him to do that.

I live about 90 minutes East of Harrisburg and have been interested in a few of the boys of Fratboys for a while now, especially Nate. He was there for a very short time, then left and is now back. I want to hire him before he disappears again.

 

Unfortunately, their location is not one that I can get to easily nor am I ever out that way for another reason, and so I have not hired from them as of yet.

 

I'm glad to hear they are still in business and I hope to find time to get out that way soon.

 

I am hesitant about using the "Frat House" for an in-call appointment as I had heard it was in a bad area. I might be more open to getting a room in a nicer downtown hotel. Anyone have suggestions?

 

A while back Lance had put something on the website saying they were looking for escorts in the Western suburbs of Philadelphia (i.e. Exton, West Chester)which would be great for me although I have not seen that come to fruition.

I seen an escort last weekend in Philly that told me he worked for Fratboys before when he was in college out there. The escort told me that 95% of the boys are from the area colleges and are str8 (gay 4 pay) with a few that are gay or bi. This could be a good reason why it's so hard at times to get in touch with them. It always seems the colleges are on some kind of break.

You actually talked to Lance? An impressive achievement, indeed. I have been trying for 7 days straight and he will not respond. There is more to it than I can appropriately say here and that is why I am more concerned than I ordinarily would be in a case like this. What makes it worse is that if he determined that e-mails were sent to a very old e-mail address then he logically would have recognized the e-mails as mine. Still no response. It looks like deliberate avoidance. I cannot imagine what would have caused this.

I, too, am guilty of not updating my site as often as I should. (though I did do it just yesterday - no bragging yet because I have new pics and didn't get them up yet) And I sometimes miss something I should update on the site because it's in the middle of other words I am overly familiar with and I miss it. But someone should let him know that the second paragraph on the first page of his site begins "Fall is almost here."
