Rick Hammersmith's website is full of pictures dated from 1999 and 2000, none recently. I guess this leaves the viewer no idea what he looks like now, but at least he's honest about having a website filled with 5 year-old photos.

Rick is one of the most up front and honest guys around. He made 2 videos in 2004 for Raging Stallion, with stills floating around the internet, and the pic that was just posted here in the last two or three days was taken in the summer of 2003 I believe. I think he looks better in person than the Raging Stallion photos. I think it compares pretty favorably with those on his website. I actually find it interesting to compare the older pictures with the newer ones to see how his body has changed over the years. He's definitely added both muscle and definition. Yes he fluctuates a bit in body fat, I think he even says on his website he tends to bulk up some in the winter and then lean out in the summer, but I've seen him numerous times over the past several years and he's never been out of shape. I suspect his bulk up tops out at about 10%, maybe 12% BF.

I have no axe to grind here so take my comments any way you wish. However, I think that it behooves a top flight escort to update his website, especially the photos, sooner than in five years. Five years is a helluva long time in any business, just ask the car manufacturers! That's a whole product cycle!

A client of mine is in the adult entertainment industry and since he is (in his own words) "a big old raging bottom" he has never been interested in Rick. From a business standpoint and as an escort, I agree with you that old photographs may keep some clients from contacting Rick and that respect he may miss out on some opportunites. The fact that Rick offers (before being asked) to send updated photographs or current stats is admirable, but this can only happen if and when a client actually contacts him, which may not if the client is put off by a web site with 4 to 5 year old photographs. Whether or not this is a business decision Rick can live with (including any potential losses) is his business, but I certainly do not feel anything in his behaviour indicates dishonesty.

 

On the other hand, as I have said repeatedly over the years and as clients have pointed out in this particular thread and elsewhere, I do certainly believe that escorts have an obligation to provide recent and/or realistic photographs to clients.

Rick is 35 or 36, I forget which, it really doesn't matter to me. I get the impression that Rick has as much business as he wants right now; I will happily take him when I can get him. I was a little surprised the difference between what I saw on the website and what I saw when he appeared at Nob Hill in SF promoting a video. The website was more a leaner muscled look and the guy on stage was a bulky muscled look. The latter also had a pretty buzzed haircut which created a military look that I wasn't interested in.

 

Both were men in great shape, just different looks. In my case, it did make a difference in whether I was willing to hire him. Maybe, as indicated above, it just makes a difference what part of the year you hire him.

Oh,for God's sake. Updating your website is an integral part of your business. People hire you for your (current) looks, not to discuss philosophy. How would you like to hire a lawyer who found reading law books "too daunting a task"? If you really didn't feel like doing it yourself, I'm sure you could hire someone for the cost of a one-hour session with a customer.

I have never spoken to Rick nor have i hired him. However I stayed at the same Hilton in NYC as him and saw him on a number of occasions in the lobby.
