Definitely brings out how difficult the escort biz can be. I was just thinking about how many times I have gone to work and on the way there, I realized that I was gonna be useless for the rest of the day cause of lack of sleep or whatever.

 

Then I thought about my private clients and how I prepare for them and what I do when I see them. No matter how tired I am, I had better be awake and alert and ready to catch every nuance in their words and behavior. And God forbid I have back to back clients after a long day at work. I couldnt do it on a daily basis, and just get by doing once a week. Maybe that why escorts make the big bucks and I dont :-)

As I have written endlessly in this message center, I love to disagree, and love to see other people's opinions about a subject. However, I like also to engage in a dialogue to see up to which point our points of view can be enriched.

In my personal case, this IS my profession. Half of my academic training and life's experiences have been related to therapy, customer service, physical therapy, plus related areas like tantric sexuality, meditation and so on. This has enabled me to engage in this profession with all my energy, feeling that I am doing everything in my power to provide the best service that I can deliver.

 

Every single service provider in the field of wellness IS a businessman in a business that thrives by the constant flow of clientelle. Every doctor, therapist, physiotherapist, masseur, cosmetologist, trainer and so on, each one of them is working on a one-on-one basis fully focusing on his clients - some in a more physical way, some in a very emotional way and some others in an intellectual way ... Good escorts should be able to establish a connection with their clients in all those areas.

For all of these service providers, a big challenge is to find a balance in the number of clients they can see a day, and:

 

a. Receive a sufficient healthy income that will cover their needs.

 

b. Avoid over-working in order to remain enthusiastic, open, loving, focused and so on.

 

Focusing on the increase of his clientelle will not necessarily doom the escort to failure, as you warn. On the other hand, over-booking, double-booking, using drugs, unhealthy habits, lack of discipline and all the common mistakes on the business side of the profession WILL indeed damage him.

 

If I were hiring an escort, there would be nothing worse for me than meeting up with a sleepy, tired, bored, absent kid. I couldn't agree with you more. I would politely try to find a way to get him out of my room as soon as possible. Interestingly enough, since I work with other escorts often, I notice that the ones who look tired and out of it, are not the busy ones, but the ones that are victims of unhealthy habits. (The sad reality is that some escorts see just enough clients to afford their next fix.)

 

As I wrote before, if ever anyone told me that I looked tired, absent, flaccid, bored, or any of those dreaded things, I would apologize, and with a smile on my face I would leave the room without expecting any compensation.

 

I have the feeling that sometimes what is expected of us escorts in this MC is that we should try to look like a "good boy", the "golden heart escort who does this only for the love of humanity" and so on. If I were to buy into this I would say that money is of no consequence to me, and that I only see one client a week, just enough to buy a bowl of gruel and afford a meagre cot to sleep on now and then... :+

 

I know that some escorts are trying to show a good non-covetous face in here, and I guess that's a very intelligent and savvy attitude.

Being a total Pollyanna I choose to believe that this message center was created as a resource for clear and honest communication between escorts and clients. (I could be wrong.)

 

By the way Rick, I think that any sexually active person is ALWAYS at some risk of contracting STDs. As an escort, my risk could be higher than the average person. However, given that sex is part of my business I am far more conscious of the risks than most people and protect myself accordingly. My own way to maintain my wellness as well as making sure that I am not being a hazard to my client's health is not to limit my meetings to one per day. (Would you reduce your risk of getting hit by a car by crossing the street only once a day?)

 

My way of staying healthy includes many things: I only do what is considered low risk activities. I keep myself informed and educated about all the possible diseases that I might contract and/or carry. I know what they look like, how to spot them in me and in my partners, and know which ones are sometimes undetectable. I know how to identify the symptoms of any as soon as they show up. I test myself every two weeks. I keep scrupulous personal hygiene, and so on.

 

I think that it was Deej who said once that if someone is afraid of being caught hiring an escort... he should never hire one in the first place.

If I wanted to erradicate any risk of any sexually transmitted disease, I would become celibate. That's a price that I am not willing to pay. However I can be a sexually active man, and still devote all my energy to staying healthy, fit and at relatively low risk.

 

I re-read this whole post and I can see such a big potential for disaster. I keep thinking: "Why can't I just shut up and say that I agree?" It reminds me of when I was a little boy. Often after expressing an opinion my father used to smile at me disapprovingly and say: "Do you really have to be that honest all the time?" Then he would shrug, and give me a big hug, and say: "Good boy."

 

I wish that I could stay on the safe, cutesy side... :-(

You seem to be a bright, educated man who has schooled himself in the risks and rewards attendant with his chosen profession. Then, using that information as best you can, you've made educated choices about what's best for you, based on how you want to live your life. As a service provider, you try to offer your customers good service and good value and, from all reports, you do just that.

 

You understand that life is not without risks, you've chosen a level of risk you are comfortable with, and you try to manage the risks you do face.

 

From where I sit, so long as you are happy, it's kind of hard to argue with your choices. They might not be right for someone else, but clearly they're the right choices for you, at least at the present time. Lots of people end up doing things more or less accidentally or with considerably less thought than you seem to bring to these things.

 

So, sharks notwithstanding, more power to you.

I only book one a day when I travel and try to the same when at home. I want to make sure that I am at my peak and give the person I am with my 110+%. I would rather have that one client leave happy and hopefully come back rather then have them leave upset that I couldn't perform to what was expected or beyond.

I think it was, too, and I also think it's unfair of you to infer that most of the other escorts in this thread are liars because their policies differ from yours.

I think so, just as someone who smokes one Marlboro Light a day probably has less chance of getting cancer than someone who smokes 4 packs of Camels.

Good for you best hotel! For what some of you guys pay you should never feel like you just picked a number. But for what you pay you should get exactly what, who and how you like it with no fuss and no muss. Guys should know their limits if they can do 5 guys in a day cool more power to them. But for myself it is one person a day and one person only that is me limit. I have tried to do multiples but it just wore me down and I wont do that again. Well that is my two cents for now.
