In my opinion, the only two M4M strip clubs left in DC, Secrets and Wet, are not especially good; and Secrets is likely to be demolished soon to prepare for the construction of a new baseball stadium.

For more information on both clubs, check out these posts in the Male Strip Club FAQ:

There have always been some dancers at both clubs who escort, but I'm not sure who is available now. If you go and see someone you like, just ask them politely if they provide privates.

Secrets is in one of the scariest neighborhoods I have ever been in late at night. I can see why DC would want to demolish the area for a Stadium and improve that part of the city. With that said, I always enjoyed Secrets and always found it to be a friendly and decent place to visit. It is the only Strip Club I have ever been in that the management apologized to the men patrons after a large group of women, part of a Bachelorette party, left the Club after a short visit.

LOL! Not the safest neighborhood, nor the easiest place in DC to get a cab. But, I wouldn't brand it anymore scarier than 10th Ave. in NYC.

Give me a BREAK!!!! If there was any justice in this world they would build a new stadium on the site of the existing RFK stadium. I really like you KYTop, but you are tooting the propaganda that the rich, pro stadium crowd espouses!!!!! Mayor Williams would LOVE you!!!

But, THANK GOD!!!!!, baseball in DC in 2005!!!! KISS DC's asses Angelos!!!, you sorry assed wannabee Steinbrenner!!!! :-(

I don't think I've been to 10th Ave in NYC at night though possible. I have no idea where I was half the time I was in NYC during my Blackout tour last year.

Hey Glad someone does.

Maybe I'll join you at the Stadium some time for a game. We can sit where Secrets use to be.:+

Hey KYTop and VAHawk, if you guys do go to the game, I want to come along, too! :D

As far as the stadium clearing out part of Southeast, I must say that I have some mixed emotions about it. On the one hand, the area will probably become renovated over time on its own, without the devastating effects of gentrification that the stadium will surely bring. However, if done properly, the new development spurred on by the new stadium could be fantastic. They also plan on building a new soccer-only stadium for the DC United pro team across the Anacostia river from the baseball stadium. It will definitely change the entire face of that part of the city.

Here is an article in the most recent Washington Blade discussing some of the issues:

"Hey KYTop and VAHawk, if you guys do go to the game, I want to come along, too!"

Would that mean I would have to pay your hourly rate for the entire 4 hour extravaganza known as a modern baseball game???? Damn dude, for that price I could buy a beer and a hot dog! :)

Seriously though, I would love to go to a game with you! But the cost of admission is steep, as it would cost you one of your beautiful smiles! :7

I hope Sean doesn't know where you live. }(

Speaking of Sean, where's he been? Did he get off at Redfern and forget to get back on? :+

Well if anyone has any mixed emotions it is me... I spent the last year of my 21 years in the Navy at the Washington Navy Yard. It was also where I got my real touch of being Gay or at least lived out by going to Wet, Secrets and La Cage Follies and all the other fun places in that area of DC. I was surprised that after a few visits that, it was not really such a bad area as everyone tried to portray it. I never had a problem in that area of town when I came to see "MY CLUBS" I lived over in Alexandria but during the week and on weekends I came to SE DC and felt very much at home. I never had a problem with my car or me in that area as some have portrayed. I will miss the clubs when they become the clubhouse for the new team. I think some part of DC History will surely be lost as I am not sure the "GAY" area as it has become or known will ever surface again at another location or place. And that will be the end all of the great and fun scene in DC that we have all known. HUGS "I shed a tear for you Wash DC" in the name of " Don't Cry for Me Argentina" Love Ya Babe!!! LMFAO! Were you living under the Rainbow, Chuck?

I'm a DC native and I have visited that area MANY times from 1973 to the present, and I will state right now, that I need at least 20 fingers to count the number of times the windows in my car have been smashed out and personal property has been stolen from my car over the years.

I won't miss a DAMN THING about the disappearance of the SE sleaze clubs. IMO, GOOD RIDDANCE!!! I will FONDLY look at the field and remember the good times and the hot guys, just like I do currently at the deserted office canyons on 14th and 9th streets.

How could ANYONE bemoan the demise of these sleazy assed places, owned by straights, who have NEVER given a SHIT about the safety of their customers, as after all they have ALWAYS been about the sucking of dollars from gay men! Good RIDDANCE and I HOPE all those gay using FUCKS burn in HELL for all eternity!

Just for reference, does the name Bill Oates ring a bell with you? No, then perhaps you need to get educated about gay history in DC.

Bill owned the old Follies at Half and O streets SE, not to mention the Follies in NYC and Pittsburgh.

I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I hope he is ROASTING on a spit in HELL!

October, 1977, the DC Follies goes up in flames on the staircase leading to the upstairs theatre/crusing area! 9 people die, from smoke inhalation, with wet t-shirts over their faces, trying to claw their way thru the PADLOCKED exit door!

Yeah, I was there! I won't EVER forget trying to claw my way out of that damn door, and I won't EVER forget people choking to death next to me! And most of ALL, I will NEVER forget the sleazy assed fuck heads that ran, and still run, the SE sex clubs! IMO, GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE!!!!!!!

>Is it just me or is there something wrong with this guy?

What I can't figure out is why he is so angry all the time. To go though life in that condition must be hell on wheels, not to mention what it must do to his blood pressure.
