Does anyone have any experience with this site - which requires a paid membership? it seems to have some listings for escorts in NC that I haven't seen elsewhere, and since choices are so limited here, I'm always looking for new sites.

It has been my experience that Escort Websites requiring you to buy a membership are not worth it. Often the contact info for the Escorts on these sites is out dated. The Pics are sometime 3, 5, or more years old and they do not update the listings properly.

 

I simply do not support those kinds of sites.

I'm hoping someone here can tell me if that's really the case in this instance. There are a number of free sites which present the same problem you describe. I 'm not sure that free sites are any more reliable than pay sites - it's just that we only invest our time and not our $ in them.

Franco DiSantis has an ad on http://www.localmaleescorts.com . Maybe he can tell us whether:

 

1) He posted his own ad to the site.

 

2) The site contacted him and offered to put up his ad based on another site's info.

 

3) The site looted his pics and stats from another site and started up on their own.

 

It kind of feels like #3 to me, though they don't have all the retired and dead escorts meetlocalmen has had. They do have an ad for Gino Mancuso in NY. Speaking as someone who scans the escort websites pretty frequently it looks like either they have access to quite a few guys who don't advertise anywhere else, or they've created a number of fake ads.

 

I wonder why every ad has yesterday's date (6/27).

 

It doesn't seem like a terribly useful site. I put in a San Francisco zip code and came up with a 38 page list for all escorts in California. Of course they're all listed with a location of CA and no city. There's nothing to suggest you're gonna get anything more than contact information and additional pics when you subscribe.

Escorts who list on such sites are therefore not likely to get many responses, and are therefore likely to stop paying. The best site I have found is Rentboy.com. This site, Male4Male, is good if there is a review for an escort, but many new guys will not be listed here, and many listed here have moved on.

I signed up for this web site. I provided them with my photographs and the information about me. However, my ad should have been deleted by now, as I have slowly but surely been deleting (or requesting that they be deleted) my advertising from sites where I get little or no response. My ad was on this site for about 15 months and I never once got a response. As some of the clients suggested, this is likely due to the fact that clients are charged to be able to contact the escorts.

 

I did a quick, current browse for my zip code and came up with some escorts I know are retired but there are some (like the infamous Mr. Holloway) who are certainly still working. As anyone else can see, some of the other, more notable Los Angeles escorts are also missing. If I were a client, I do not think I would use this as a resource.

While here in D.C., I have been contacted by some clients from American Male Escorts. I still think it is an excellent site as any client can contact the escort for free and also view telephone numbers of the escorts. As I have always said, which site is best for any particular client has a lot to do with the CLIENT'S LOCATION. Rent Boy is certainly good for the large coastal cities. I do not think it is (and I do not believe any escort or client can otherwise indicate) that it is any better and, can be, in some ways worse, for smaller towns and cities and mid-western locations, as escorts in small towns are not going to spend the money to advertise themselves on a site like Rent Boy.
