Well, Cupcake is absolutely a scam. Don't remember if there was a consensus on Nationwide though.

 

I'd be very cautious, because looking through the LA ones it seems to fail two tests: seems too good to be true ( http://www.geocities.com/devondoeshollywood/dev.html damn!), and (presumably, the 'standard rates' page is down at the moment) requires a deposit. There is just no reason for a local escort to require a deposit. I also don't think an agency that had such delicious assets would need to depend on crap (free, *untraceable*) hosting such as Geocities, which is likely to cut them off at any time.

 

Also, while I don't partake nearly as much as I'd like to, I think I keep up on the hot twinks in LA, and it's unusual that only one of the 12 looked even vaguely familiar. It's not like they'd have any reason to be loyal to the agency at those rates... If they were real LA working boys I probably would have noticed some of them on the other local sites for the area, maybe seen the picture of one through Craigslist, etc., and a couple may have been reviewed here...

If I recall correctly, Nationwide was definitely revealed as being a scam in one of the lost threads.

 

Basically, when hiring an escort, if you're asked to send money in advance, it's probably a scam and you're probably going to be unhappy. When asked to send a retainer, move on... there are plenty of good, hot, available escorts out there.

They are one and the same and have been documented several times to be a SCAM. x( I personally know one of the boys that they adverstise (by pic anyway) who wasnt aware that they were using it. I know of others guys that have had their pics appropriated by Nationwide/Cupcake that are known to other members of the board. This outfit is a complete scam. Never ever send money up front to an unfamilar agency or escort. I never send money upfront period!!

Nationwide; Cupcake... same scam, same scammer.

 

This guy uses pics of guys that he pirates from the net, and then charges people retainers for supposed meetings. Of course there are no real escorts behind the ad, though the photograph is of a real person.

 

Before the computer crash, the last thing Nationwide did was use a pic of Chip Noll, porn star, and advertise him as some guy in New York who is an escort. They have countless boys who are either internet models, porn stars, REAL escorts in another city, or just cute unsuspecting guys... whose image is used to lure someone into sending a payment in advance.

 

Many of us have been waiting for Karma to catch up with this scumbag, but having not that much patience to wait, we would settle for CracktheGreySky getting him... he was trying to track the scammer down when the computer went poof.
