I seem to be getting nowhere with escorts here in Boston -- anyone else have the same experience? I’m somewhat new to escorts. Tried three times to hook up with someone here in Boston -- saw ads on RentBoy and elsewhere. First, thought I’d start with the “one who sets the standard” (and has ads everywhere), but he didn’t answer several messages over several weeks, so my search isn’t over (even if his Web site said it would be). Second, I tried the sexy Italian who says “Your pleasure is my measure” -- but three e-mails and two phone call later, after finally setting up an appointment, he cancels the morning of the big day, so no pleasure here. And third, I tried a bi-guy, a newcomer with a low rate (to encourage repeaters, he says) -- he answered my call quickly, but was nervous on the phone and didn’t want to talk about “business” for fear of being set up. Fearlessly, I set up an appointment (in-call) for the next day and asked for the address -- to be told that I need to call back the next day (!) to get it. Seemed odd, he’s not reviewed anywhere, I think I caught his paranoia, so I called and canceled the appointment.

 

Do I need to go to NYC? I’ve met several escorts there -- all have replied quickly to e-mail and phone calls from Boston to set up appointments in NY, or replied even when I called on short notice in NYC -- very easy to make the appointments, and fantastic experiences in each case. What’s with the boys in Boston? Any recommendations for Boston guys? I’d like to find someone good and maybe even see him regularly.

the grant cycle was over at my last job and needed something quick before I became unemployed in cajun country. Found a job with basically the same discription online, but getting double the pay for half the work. :-) And there are so many schools here to choose from once I get back into the swing of things.

It's sad but true, Boston is a very dry escort town. The whole gay culture here is filled with attitude. I rarely find a quality escort here, rarely if ever. I either find a guy visting, the escort travel forum has become my best resource, or I hire from NYC. I really do not understand it, with so many colleges and so many men you'd think there would be an abundance of choices. Craig's list is very active in Boston and there are many listings daily for all kinds of hook ups. But there exists few if any credible, professional men to get the job done.

There are a few good escorts in Boston. In fact, one of the hottest guys I've ever met, in any context, is in Boston. However, most do not advertise, do not want publicity and seldom take new customers. I do not know why this seems to be true so frequently in Boston, but it is. My guess is that the lack of escorts allows someone with an interest in escorting and talent to match to quickly build a group of repeat customers and then just lay low and escape publicity.

Thanks, Tampa and BG. I'm new to escorts, and in NYC have hired several, ranging from hairy daddy type to a slim bottom. Partly I hired for personality, not just looks. In Boston I struck out with Jon Ramsey, Zola, and Mark.

Beware of The Boston Phoenix and, if it still exists, In Newsweekly. There are some unsavory hustlers mixed in with ok escorts. I once had an escort who I hired from In Newsweekly rip off something that I could not replace. It didn't have a lot of monetary value, but was something I really liked. I recommend that you seriously consider Montreal as an alternative. Almost as close as NYC, much cheaper hotel rooms (half the price), and escorts -- $100/$150 CND -- $75/$135 US. Very hot guys. You do have to use an agency or ads in the back of Fuges but I have never had a disappointment, yet. Dancers are an alternative to escorts but I dont generally recommend as you will pay more and often get less. Many if not most are straight. As with any generality there are some pleasant exceptions.

 

The men/boys are hot and come in flavors!! The city is cosmopolitan, the people friendly, the restaurants great, language generally not a problem, the exchange rate good if not as good as it was last year. I see no downside at all as long as you have a US birth certificate or passport.
