Hey Guys,

I'm watching one of those Dateline/Court TV murder shows on NBC tonight... Durham, NC writer's wife is murdered, cover up, gay escort testifies at the murder trial.

An escort named Soldier Top Brad is the dude on the stand. I noticed that one of the blurbs used in the piece was when the guy wrote the escort saying, "You have great reviews..."

Question: Do we know this escort? Anyone? Bueller?

Thanks,

John

Watching it right now. I watched some of this trial when it was on Court TV last year. There's a thread about this from this past Sept. and apparently Soldier Top Brad had requested that his reviews be deleted. I think he did a pretty good job on the witness stand. Loved those questions from the prosecutor to Brad.

indeed that was me last night, though I had no idea it would be on. I knew Dateline was there when i was on the stand.

Interesting experience, not to be repeated. ;) I am hoping to get my reviews re-posted soon. I have all of them in a folder, but I need to get Hooboy to repost them. Otherwise, I'll just have to ask new clients to send in new ones...

Both Peterson's sons are really hot but they also seem like psychos. One of them went to jail for setting off (or just trying to set off?) some kind of minor explosion in a Duke University building when he was a student there (he was trying to create a diversion while he made a new student ID for himself,or stole back his student ID after it had been confiscated, or something nutty like that). I forget the details now, but it was really stupid.

Mike Peterson also has quite a local reputation for fooling around in the steamroom at the Y here in Durham.

So what was the angle of this show, anyway? This case was a major obsession locally, "Brad from Raleigh" became a local celebrity, and this site was often mentioned (though not by name) on the local news, but my friends and I cannot imagine why a national network would broadcast a show about it now (months after he was convicted and sent to jail). It's not like it was a big story of nationwide interest while the trial was going on, was it? Were they suggesting that he is innocent? Peterson's friends have recently floated a theory that his wife was killed by an owl!

How does one get "quite a local reputation?" I mean, is everybody in Durham talking about it? Or just the people who don't fool around? Or is it just the people at the Y? Or perhaps this is idle gossip?? I'll bet you have first hand knowledge here and you just don't want to say?

The steamrooms at both Ys in Durham tend to be very active, in my experience. Having said that, I have to confess that I have seen Mr. Peterson in the steamroom, but never fooled around with him (but he's in excellent shape!).

As soon as he was accused of killing his wife, and well before "Brad from Raleigh" was heard from, my friends started telling me of Mike's fun-loving ways. Peterson was already well known around here; he ran for office a couple of times, and he wrote for the local paper. So people knew who they were playing around with.
