I'm sure Franco has sufficiently analyzed M4RN to know the age dispersion among still "active" escorts listed there, but I'm wondering: does anyone else notice that there seems to be a major influx of escorts in their 30's and beyond among those with listed contact info, and who are rotated frequently on their "front" page? Nothing wrong with that, I'm just curious.

For example, in checking their "front page" right now, there are, as usual, 9 escorts featured. Six of those are, respectively, ages 40, 38, 35, 33, 40, and 35.

I know that when I was in my 20's (and indeed into my 30's), I'd have trouble covering much more than the rent and the utility bills. Somewhere after entering my 30's I started having discretionary income.

 

I don't see anything sinister (or even unusual) in guys in their 30's & 40's being able to afford a monthly nut that younger guys may just not be able to afford. Some of it is sound planning and some of it is just being around long enough to have it.

 

Remember that this is a formerly free listing site, so they're going to lose the kids who may not be able to pony up.

Well - if a guy is working as an escort, collecting money for his services, and can't pay $30 a month for advertising. then he must be a crappy escort and should consider a career change!

I think that the point here is:

 

1. Whether you want to spend money for advertising or not (there are two opposite visions).

2. Being comfortable paying online with a credit card and revealing your personal data.

3. And as a final note on the front page are rotated only Premium listings (cost from $39.95 and up per month)

 

And of course “It all depends”…

It just seems to me that I've seen an influx of age 30 + escorts there in the past several weeks...several hot guys, too. }(

 

On the other hand, I haven't seen the same new faces on AmericanMale, which provides free listings.

Don't know but the DC listings have made a resurgence in the last few weeks down to 2.5 pages of active listings in mid Nov. up to seven pages today. It seems Boston has not recovered nearly so well.
