Hey guys-I don't know if this is even the forum to post this, but I will give it a shot anyway. I recently discovered two hot escorts who are now escorting in Columbus,Ohio. After checking out their website(http://www.geocities.com/celebrityboiz/) I found a link to another website(midwestmales.com) that supposedly sold DVDs and videos of solo jack off work they have done. Being the curious guy I am I decided to order 2 of the DVDs. To make a long story short...after many Emails and broken promises I never received the DVDs. After threatening to file a complaint with PAYPAL they offered to refund my $50 and send out 2 more DVDs free of charge. Well, you guessed it...no refund was made and I still didn't receive the DVDs. I did file a complaint with PAYPAL but that is no guarantee I will get a refund. So, my question is...what actions, if any, can I take to get my money back? Should I just accept the loss? I feel these guys are involved in some sort of fraud and there are no DVDs at all.

Well

It is unfortunate that this happened to you, one of the reasons why I always feel one should only buy things on line from reputable sources.

Nonetheless, since you used Pay Pal, that is your best bet. I would hope you are maintaining your documentation about this incident, such as keeping your e-mails to and from these gentlemen. If so, I would also contact Yahoo/Geocities and register a complaint with them.

Good luck.

Your analysis is probably correct, and the DVDs were never produced. Or else they were waiting to sell enough DVDs to pay production costs, etc. A few months ago, PayPal suspended all known adult site IDs. So, if you wanted to really mess with these guys, file a second complaint. Mention that you bought adult material via this PayPal ID and, within a couple of weeks, the ID will be terminated. At least no one else will go there.

Also, be sure to use the PayPal feedback system and report the faulty transaction. When using online services like Ebay and PayPal, I always check the feedback before purchasing. This is a pretty good guage of what you're getting in to.

For what it's worth, on the one occasion that something like this

happened to me, PayPal came through pretty quickly and I got my

money back.

The one other thing that you can do, if you have an actual mailing

address for them, is to write to the local District Attorney in

their area and tell them about the fraud.
