Probably a scammer.

 

Not that there aren't pornstar couples in NYC. Far from it! The description actually sounds a little like Jason Land & Rob Romoni, and they were in NYC last I heard.

 

But any GayVN nominee WILL have more/better pics to use, and they'll probably have the sense to use the name they've worked hard to get recognized.

 

I'd love to be proved wrong, tho.
