Lack of working guys in the midwest....

Ok this question might be obvious but why is it that there are few guys working in say Montana Wisonsin and some of the other smaller states? Is it because there is a lack of biz or is it because everyone moves to the larger states or cities? There is a very nice man that flyies me from Seattle out to one of the smaller states because he can't find anyone listed in his state at all and I even looked myself on some of the other sites and even my searches came up empty handed. One would think that even being in a small state biz could be somewhat healthy being there isn't a lot of compition. Hmmm who konws.
