Hey Guyzzzzzzz!

I'm traveling to Denver for the first time (on business), and was wondering what part of town you would recommend I stay. Considering the fact I book all my hotel needs through Priceline, would you suggest I stay in the vicinity of "Downtown" or "Tech Center?"

Also, would you recommend I rent a car?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks,

Without knowing how long you'll be in Denver or how much you'll be travelling around within the city, I would recommend that you DO get a rental. There are several interesting bars in Denver, but they are spread around, not in a single, distinct, compact neighborhood as in some cities. Public transport is available, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are trying to save a few bucks, or want to really experience the diverse people in this city. Good Luck and Enjoy!

Heya Danny,

I'd definitely recommend that you try to stay downtown while you are here in Denver. The Tech center is a very congested part of Denver due, in part, to ongoing construction in the are surrounding what would normally be the most convenient highway. Downtown the hotels and business class and some in the area may be economy class as well so you shouldn't have a hard time finding a decent rate. I'd also say that having transportation is the best idea. There are plenty of good restaurants, some chain and some specific to the area, and there are also a number of bars and clubs to visit depending which nights of the week you'll be here. Unfortunately, since Denver is sprawled out over a number of miles it is sometimes inconvenient to roam around freely if you are without a car. Hope that helps...

and you're always welcome to email me directly too. Enjoy our city!

Bobby, Cumbee and TJ...

Thanks very much for your suggestions. As a result, I will surely book a hotel room in the downtown area, along with renting a car.

Not knowing anybody in Denver, I was wondering if I could contact you?

Again, thanks for your help boys!!!
