Don't know of any escorts there, but do yourself a great favor and book a Zodiac trip up the Na Pali coastline. "Captian Zodiac" used to the the biggest operator there, but they are all about the same. Take the bigger Zodiac boats (do not take the "touristy" boats) and make sure your camera is waterproof or in a plastic bag bacause you are gonna get wet.

The ride out will be smooth, the ride back very rough because of the currents. If you are adventurous, take the ride back in the front of the boat, holding onto one of the lines (ropes for you landlubbers) and ride the thing in like a bucking bronco. It's great fun.

For the smoother ride, sit all the way in the back of the zodiac boat. If you can, bring your own snorkeling gear because you never know where their snorkels have been. :)

If the local government or the hurricane got rid of the zodiacs, try this website: http://www.top-10-hosting.com/~napali/

God, whichever version you may believe in, lives here. Treat it reverently. You may recall the opening shots of Spielberg's Jurassic Park -- they were shot there and the California crew disrespected the 'aina (land)and the gods brought Iniki, which shut down production and destroyed the entire island, IMHO. Spielberg himself was stranded at one of the few hotels left standing.

Special advice for Traveller if he ventures there after New Orleans Decadance[/]: drop a tab of lysergic acid diethylamide at the dock if you can find it, Lucy, not the dock. (sorry, just a flashback from my younger daze.)

Happy trails!
