Would you submit your telephone number?

After an excellent, no--STUPENDOUS!--session with an escort listed here, I decided to submit a review. Then I noticed that I was now required to submit my telephone number as well.

 

Escorting and Internet being what they are, I felt very uncomfortable doing so, no matter what assurances of discretion were made, and decided not to submit the review. :-(

I think for the first review Hooboy confirms it with a phone call, then, if your handle and email stay the same, it is not necessary. Hey, how often does Hoo call otherwise?

Well, it was only my second review, the last one being in January, so maybe the policy changed since then. Man, I feel sorry for HooBoy if he has to call some of those reviewers, don't enough of them drive him batty with their dumb email questions?

I agree ... I do not have any reason to believe HB is not well intentioned. Though even a subpena or a raid (if they can find what airport he is sleeping in on any given night) can safeguard our information.

 

Then, just posting in the message center provides law enforcement with our IP address. So maybe it all doesn't matter.

] I've submitted close to a dozen reviews and never once had to give a phone number and not so sure I would want to now if in fact it is required--just on general principle if nothing else, but I'm also a pretty private person and would find such a requirement uncalled for.

I just did a review for Danny Cruz. It was the first time I was asked for a phone number. I did submit it, although I was concerned I feel that Hooboy will protect my privacy. Hey if they want to "get" you they will.

Um, Flower, I can see a person who can afford to hire an escort deciding not to have a phone, but not being able to afford having a phone?? That would put hiring escorts on a par with buying state lottery tickets, in a strange sort of way. heheheh

Submitting your phone number is an option. I respect that many people would feel uncomfortable doing that.

 

Most recently, if I call, I email the person first and try to make an appointment for the call, so he can be in a comfortable situation. It is rare that sort of thing happens. Just yesterday, I was in "cell-hell" (that's when your cellphone isn't working because you're in a subway, plane or out of range) and I missed my appointment, so I suppose I was a no-show...

 

Unless the guy I call assures me it is okay to talk openly, anyone listening in on the other line would never in a million years figure out what the conversation was about and I typically say something like, "if this is a wrong number, I apologize." The only time I ever say "it's HooBoy calling", it is important and the person on the other end most likely expecting the call.

 

I made a call yesterday to a guy for some clarification. A woman answered the phone and I told her I had a wrong number. DOH!
