I see on Rentboy that Aiden Shaw is now advertising as an escort. He was a major porn obsession for me in the 90's. Has anyone ever hired him before? I know he had been an escort for a long time in the UK before coming to the States. Interestingly enough, he advertises as versatile, but I was under the impression he only ever topped, in real life as well as his movies.

They had a cover article on him in either NEXT or HX (I can never keep those two straight) and it was interesting in that they talked to him about his life, his porn career, his sex life, his website and his poetry. But not once, did they ever mention he was also a whore....oops........I mean prostitute.......er....I mean escort.....uh.....I mean sex worker......hmmm.....I mean paid companion.

Maybe it was just an accidental oversight on their part.

I can't imagine that Aiden isn't proud of the fact that he sells his body.

Suspiciously yours,

FFF

Aiden Shaw has escorted here in Britain, too, but only does so 'selectively' -- in the one and only time this has ever happened to me in my life, he interviewed *me* as to whether I'd be a client he'd be interested in, rather than vice versa -- and I read somewhere that this was by no means a one-off... That person wittily riposted: "I can get rejected for free in bars, without having to offer to pay for it...." Also potential clients should be aware that Mr Shaw (or perhaps that should be Ms Shaw, since he's obviously such a prima donna!) has been very open about his HIV positive status.

] I doubt that you will give me a serious answer, or even ANY answer, but hope springs eternal in some of us--So here goes--just what is it that you have against escorts?

And would you tell me why YOU consider escorting a lesser profession or work than whatever it is that you do or did before you retired?

What job or profession was that, btw?

And lastly (yeah, I know I'm pushing my luck), if you really feel the way your venomous threads read, then why are you here? :+

Well, I have to admit that I have more than once wondered the same thing.

I never recall FFF saying this. IMHO, he has only said that people who sell themselves for sex/companionship/time were "whores". I personally agree that this is a derogatory term, but if you look in a dictionary or thesaurus, it could be "literally" interpreted that way.

>What job or profession was that, btw?

TOTALLY IRRELEVANT to any of his observations! Whether he wss a stable hand shoveling horse shit or a senator from NY, that gives no more or less credence to his opinions on the sex for hire industry.

For the same reason all of us do. A desire to participate in a community of which he is a part. He has just as much right to participate and express his feelings and/or opinions as You or Me or Anyone else!

Umm....I'm sorry, but I was really asking for FFF's response. It's interesting that you jumped in and took up his banner so quickly--some might say an alter ego}(

We could all speculate at these answers, but with all due respect, unless you are truly his alter ego, your answers have no meaning here--I mean if I wanted speculation, I just would have speculated and not asked FFF to respond. At least if I had speculated I would have understood the questions.

And who are YOU to say that his profession is irrelevant? That is SO funny--like whom died and left you in charge? I understand from your other posts that you are a "degreed professional" and that is fine, but your school boy defense of the offensive FFF doesn't say much for you, if in fact you aren't his alter ego.

Since FFF is obviously "answer-challenged" and we will not hear from him here (if we just didn't) I will tell you that his profession is very relevant.

You see Hawk (or FFF as the case may be), we all sell ourselves or parts of ourselves in one way or another. I sell myself when I take cases I don't believe in or find boring--I have to look to for "carrots" to keep up my interest--like beating my opponent, or finding something nice in my client that makes me want to help her. I have represented pretty bois on small cases with more passion than some others on big cases, but I always try and do my best--it's just easier with some clients or cases (sorta like finding something beautiful in everyone :)

I see doctors that sell themselves, CPA's sell themselves, shrinks, college professors, and even the Priest -- everyone sells himself in one way or another, and I'm not just talking about getting a salary or income for a professional service--I mean SELLING ourselves. I'm making no judgments on selling of ourselves whatsoever, but I just wondered what FFF did in his life so as to avoid selling himself and thus explaining the arrogant attitude he has against escorts.

Another little innocent, naive or just plain stupid statement you made was about the word "whore" being in the dictionary. Just because the word "whore" is in the dictionary doesn't mean it's not a derogatory and hateful term -- a pure and simple pejorative. The word "nigger" is in there too, as is the word "fag." They all have been in for some time but that doesn't cleanse them of their pejorative meaning--especially the way that FFF uses the term.

You say he hasn't been derogatory towards escorts--then I say to you that you are either fibbing to us or yourself or both; or that you don't or can't read with cognitive retention; or that you have short term memory deficit syndrome or that your strange obsessive infatuation with the mean spirited posts of FFF possibly has psycho-sexual overtones :p or all of the above. I guess there are a few more alternatives, but they would not be as flattering }(

So again, thanks for your speculation, but the post was NOT addressed to you. :+

>"He was a prick."

>

>Is that a compliment? I think that's what you hired him for.

Aiden Shaw has been open about being HIV+ for quite some time. He wrote a somewhat autobiographical book, Brutal and has written in a number of places about escorting, his health, and a number of other things. I got the impression that he, like a number of people who had problems with drug use in their life (it was never clear to me whether it was his own or those around him) and who got involved in a fast lane existence, came to both regret and resent aspects of it.

He gave an interesting interview I remember reading once while waiting for a hair cut in Boston, for a British gay magazine, where he admitted to "interviewing" clients and to being very particular about it.

My welter of useless information or yours?
