Very perceptive.

I carry Scott's commentary on my website because he's got a fresh and above all honest writing style.

For his efforts, he's been villified by a stalker that has been terrorizing the adult industry for at least five years. The stalker threatened to expose personal information and Scott responded by posting the personal information before the stalker had the chance.

The kid has balls. I give him props.

He's a ditzy blond, but he's willing to admit it and talk about what it's like to be a ditzy blond.

He's made some mistakes and he admits it.

He does NOT deserve the shit he's been put through thanks to his stalker.

As far as how escorts view this site ... the guys I've talked to all hate it. Every one of them.

We expect them to be discreet and then we post here what kind of fuck they are. They can understandably be upset, even the good ones.

It's the old two-edged sword.

We want them to be discreet and then we're not.

The problem with heresay is that you have to take into account the person who says it, what they say, what agenda they may have and what possible changes in the outcome may derive if the heresay is accepted at face value.

I have no idea who this guy is and that means little in the large scheme of things.

Among escorts I personally know, this Message Center is largely viewed as a huge time vampire and waste of time. The majority opinion is that posting is ultimately detrimental to your (escort) health and that you are bound to upset, confuse, disappoint or otherwise adversely impact a potential client, thus losing business.

However, every single escort I personally know takes the reviews with varying degrees of seriousness. Some are upset to be discussed in a less than flattering manner (i.e., drug use, physical appearance, lack of technique or ability, etc.) where other takes other kinds of opinions (hair loss mentioned in the review of a 24 year old is one example that comes to mind) to heart.

Do they "hate" the site? Personally, I think that is a strong and inaccurate word. Sometimes they worry that some clients with axes to grind will come after them but from what I have heard, Hoo Boy takes this kind of thing into account and, of course, with the reviews, the escorts do always have the last word. I know three clients who have reviewed other escorts on here, one a no show and the other two unflattering reviews, and none of these was published.

Everyone here needs to keep in mind that it is work for either most clients (and escorts) to post, but still it is much easier for any individual to create a user name and comment in the forums than it is for that individual to submit a review. I know there is a great deal of belief that a number of reviews are "fake" and some have likely slipped through, but this kind of false information would come to light in ways that would be more detrimental to the escort. A post on the message center (a slight about my age, a comment about _____ barebacking, or _______ taking a deposit without meeting the client, or anything of that kind of nature, unless the escort defends himself or some clients come to the escorts defense (and even there, the client is often accused of being the escort in disguise).

I do think if we put ourselves out in public we should have less of an expectation of privacy or that our actions, appearance, handling of our affairs, and other reasonable factors related to escorting, will be fair game. When I meet a client, I make an effort to look presentable and be personable. When I go work out, I walk there sometimes without showering, without shaving and I have business there - to work out. I am not there to either meet or solicit clients. If someone were to say, I saw Franco at midnight mass, that is probably reasonable. If someone were to say, Franco looks like shit, I think that is unreasonable if it is based solely on one view. This is way celebrities hate photographers and feel their privacy is invaded.

On the other hand, in escort sites I participate in, with hundred of escorts involved, when escorts advise other escorts how to increase business, how to make themselves better known, how to increase their opportunities, being reviewed and this site rank well up there. This is why a number of escorts, like Michael Brandon, publically thanked this site and Hoo Boy for "supporting" them in this career.

Hate is far from the right word. Conflicted? Possibly. But that is what happens to anyone who is reviewed: a writer, an artist, a film maker, an architect, or anyone who is judged on their performance if that written commentary were visible to all, as it is now for some medical care providers in certain states.

Escorting is not a calling for everyone. It is also not a calling that may be suitable for all of us who are escorts for a great length of time, and certainly not our entire life. In spite of knowing a fair number of adult film actors and escorts under the age of 25, I also have to admit I know come to agree with Mr. Hagen that some men may be too young to be in this business and may lack the ability to deal with sex industry work at an age when they should be coming to terms with who they are and what they want out of life.
