The first 2 have a lot written about them, just adding them so any newcomers can see them. However, any info. on the rest, such as best nights? Do they still exist? Any more that you know of? I've been hoping that someone would discuss some of these places more. I live in NYC but don't go to bars much anymore, but I wanted to check out Red and Stella's. So here is what I can tell you. Red is at 305 E.53rd St. It's a small bar with only a small sign on the street level door. The bar is on the second floor. I've been several times and had a great time. The entertainment is basically a bunch of go-go boys who dance on a couple of small platforms and go around the bar and flirt with the customers. Some of them are very handsome. Some just average but I guess that depends upon your taste. The boys will give you a lap dance in the back room for $20. The boys start entertaining each night around 9:30. I hear from others that the quality of the boys can vary considerably. They seem to change the boys often. My personal experience has been good. The guys have been very friendly and I enjoy the attention from some of the really hot young men. Some of the boys offer escort services and will give you their phone numbers if they like you. So far I haven't called any of them because none of them have been reviewed. But I have been tempted. The lap dances can be lots of fun but that depends upon the individual dancer, of course. Safest thing is to enjoy the flirting in the bar and tip them a few dollars for their attention. Most of them won't let you feel them up, however, unless you pay for a lap dance.

I tried Stella's out last saturday. The show was supposed to start at midnight but didn't start until 12:30. That's a little late for me. But once things got started it was lots of fun. They make more of a production out of the dancing there. There is an announcer and a DJ. Each boy does a feature dance and then comes out into the audience and flirts with the customers. As far as I know there is no back room for lap dances but the attentions they give you in the audience are much more generous than at Red. They will definitely let you get a feel of their equipment. The night I went most of the guys were black, latinos and one white guy. That was great for me. I thought most all of them were pretty hot. One of the guys started walking directly toward me. I wasn't sure if he was my type at first but when he came over and dropped his huge cock on my leg (I think he left a bruise) and continued to push it up against me I was in heaven. Man, was he hot! The show at Stella's is in the basement. There is a bar on the street level and there are lots of hustlers hanging around. Stella's is located at 266 W. 47th St. If you like this kind of thing, both of these places are a lot of fun.

The gaiety is great for looking at some extremely handsome men on stage. It's look but don't touch. There is a lounge where you can meet them clothed. Most of them will offer a private show for approximately $200 if you want to follow them back to their hotel rooms. However, in my experience this is mostly for body worship only. Most of the guys are gay for pay. The Gaiety is on 46th St. just off Broadway.

All of these places are worth checking out. Have fun!

Number 1, Stellas, is the only place to go. SBNY, #4, has excellent bartenders, like xl, which you can sometimes pick up, but not rentboyish. (Like g or the Roxy.) The Gaiety, as I've railed on many times, is not my style. Steriods and Kool-aid. Escuelita can be fun, but not as up front as Stellas.

I would love to see a rentboy in the Monster, as all there ever is there are monsters, who leave after a few cocktails and high tail it to be in audience of the Gaiety. However, I did have fun there one time at 2 pm on a Sunday after the Black Party, but I was blind.

Later.

PS. Two fun ones on deck for this weekend. Will I see anyone at Broadway Bares? I'll be with the Israeli.

Hey Traveller:

Check out manhattan-monster.com. Click on any of the days of the week to the left and as you see they mention strippers nightly. Is this not true? Thanks.

You know what dude, I'll let you take the lead on this one. Check it out and let us know all about it.

Later.

PS. I still think seeing twelve of everyone on that Sunday afternoon will be a better experience.

There's a lot of Gaiety bashing around here and I think I can understand where some of it is coming from but...to play "Devils's Advocate" for a moment. How many places can you go for a modest sum, see some unsually good looking guys take off their clothes, dance around with a hard-on and then a little later get to chat with them in a resonably civilzed atmosphere? OK, so maybe the "Private Shows" aren't always great, but at least you got the chance to chat with the guy beforehand and you have seen him naked. You got this far without any phone calls or emails. It is immediate, and there's something to be said for that. I've had some sessions that were really pretty good and some good conversations that never led to anything which were fun too. For a big barrel it has surprisingly few bad apples.

I'll add my two cents for Stellas. Have had great luck there both just checking out the eye candy and hooking up with customers, as well as one or two of the pretty boys. One of the cruisers I invited back to my hotel room actually stayed the whole night. Another customer connected with me and we spent the weekend together. I'm into latino guys and that may be why I usually leave there happy. I stay away from Gaiety. Haven't been to Red, yet. Good luck! :)

Exactly. Enzo is best discussing Thomas Mann and German romanticism is general. Victor, sometimes can go on and on, but he knows his Euripides cold.

Later.

PS. Glad to see the MB, particularly the Lounge section, melted down quite nicely as usual this weekend. Does anyone go away on the weekends for the summer? Or do you sit around chewing nails.

PPS. DickHo, the new Roman is definitely worth a spin. Almost too BB for me (but what a killer bod), and a nice thick 8 1/2 incher. Also some fun moves new moves throughout. Big gold star on the forehead for this one.

PPS. Great day today. Will I see anyone this evening in the CP zoo for the Callen Lourde bene?
