What you say seems to make sense here, but must be wrong. Else how on earth would we ever explain Muscle Worship scenes which clearly make the escort's muscles the center of attention in the room.

 

And there have been reviews which mention A. how an escort's youth and beauty took the client's breath away, dropped his jaw, etc. when it was much better than the pictures, even. B. how an escort had an attitude - or was perceived to have one, when he actually might not have had one to a neutral observer. C. how an escort thankfully didn't intimidate the reviewer with his physical perfection (a recent review of Vancouver Matt comes to mind, and he is arguably one of the most famous escorts on the continent). (And, even though I have intentions for another part of his body, I fully expect (prejudging, I know) that when I get my act together and hire Kristian his might cock will be my center of attention, even when it is plastered between our tummies whilst ... I still consider Jack Benny to be my favorite comedian. Quite awhile ago Comedy Central (maybe it was still the Comedy Channel then) used to show Benny reruns in the wee hours and on Sunday mornings, along with the half-hour packages of SCTV. (The old late Friday night 90-minute SCTVs were wonderful - I hope that they get around to putting them in a boxed DVD set someday.) Benny's timing was incredible. One of the all-time TV comedy classic moments was his appearance on a special with a flock of roller-skating penguins. Just the look on his face left the audience breathless with laughter.

Franco, I completely agree with your assessment. It's interesting how the variety of ages and "types" of men who are considered (and perhaps as importantly, consider themselves) marketable as gay porn stars has expanded over the years. There was a time when it seemed all but impossible to find any videos that didn't feature carbon-copy plucked and shaved twinks of various sizes. There's a lot more on offer today, or at least what once seemed strictly underground has now come up for air. We're all getting older, a process that was sadly retarded for a time by the devastating impact of AIDS. It's taking a more natural course these days and with it, the overwhelming influence of youth as a determining factor in perceptions of what's sexy and desirable is losing it's stranglehold.

 

Then of course there are those of us who've typically been attracted to "older" men all along - we're getting older too. ;-) Personally, I haven't been interested in early 20-somethings since I was about 18, and now I'm 40. My notions of what constitutes "older" or "mature" necessarily change over the years and will, I imagine, continue to do so.
