I imagine there's a demand for them. In fact, there are quite a few mature escorts. Not everyone is looking for an 18-year-old twink! Certainly, if someone is escorting when they're in their late 30s, early 40s, I expect them to act more maturely than a mere stripling, and to bring some experience to what they're doing. :-)

I mentioned this in the 'Ask the Escorts' area the other day, so forgive me if I think it important enough to bear repeating.

 

I hired an escort who advertised himself in his mid-twenties. It was a great experience and so we set up a follow up encounter, including dinner. As we were talking through dinner, I must of made some comment about his age, because he told me that he was actually eight years older than his 'website age' (he was actually a year older than I was). I'm sure that there are people who would have been (or are) offended, but I'm glad that he told me. For one it indicates a level of trust (I'm always very moved when an escort tells me his 'real' name, for example), but it also forced me to re-examine how and why I was hiring escorts.

 

You see, I was automatically excluding escorts who were 30 or over when deciding on who to hire. My experience with _______ showed me I should re-evaluate the way I look at escorts and it has. Based on my fairly limited experiences, I won't go as far to say 'older is better' because I've had some really good experiences with younger escorts as well. Now, I consider the 'whole package' and hardly ever look for the 'age stat' anymore (though as a guy with a foot fetish, I wish that more escorts put shoe size on :-) )

I personally prefer escorts that are not right out of high school for a couple of reasons. Most of the time they have more finesse, technique when it comes to sex (though there are the few youngins that have that natural ability) Many do not shave every inch of their bodies. They are mature enough to be comfortable in their own skin and realize that they are not twink material so they tend towards manliness instead. In conversations I have had with some older escorts (30's) many have given up on the shaving routine (ingrown hair problems, the hassel, etc.) and let themselves be how god made them, which I personally prefer. I've had a similar experience, in this case an escort supposedly in his mid 30's who is actually 40.

 

In my opinion it is sad that someone feels like he has to lie about his age to attract customers, but it obviously works. If the escort can reasonably "pull off" looking like he is younger, there isn't really any harm involved. You either like what you see and experience or you don't, which doesn't necessarily correlate with age.

I think one can be an escort at any age. If someone could escort at age 12 and not end up in detention throughout his teenage years, there would be a market for such an escort. Likewise, someone much older and more mature, for the reasons stated above and then some. One of the things it depends on is the area you are in. For me, I have to consider I have a limited market here in LA due to the fact I refuse to shave and get rid of the great majority of my body hair and never have done so. This is also a very surface and body concious area due to the film industry and youth is highly prized here among heterosexuals AND homosexuals. Had I stayed or if I were willing to return to San Francisco, I could probably escort for years. As it is, I have wondered how many marketable years I may have left, which have absolutely nothing to do with how good I may or may not be.

 

On the other hand, I think for a top, being over 30 has benefits that younger escorts cannot share. However, this also reflects on how much you maintain your shape and appearance, not merely how well you can "pass" for a younger age.

 

As society gets older, the definition of what is hot HAS and will continue to change. Baby Boomers not only want to be viewed as hot but they have also learned to change their definition of what is hot. Shows like Dawson's Creek and Rosewell may be very hip and popular but they definitely have limited appeal to other shows, such as Friends, where they are all supposedly under or very close to 30 but that is the age they have been for nearly 8 or so years now.

 

If you consider doing this for yourself, make sure it is something you want to do and not something you NEED to do. Good luck!

There is a wide variety in the kinds of people I find sexually attractive. In hiring escorts I find that the experience is better for me if there is more involved than simply hot sex.
