Grand Rapids is about as wholesome of a meduim-size town you will find in the US. Gerald Ford is from there... whilst not a great president, can you think of any bad or nasty things about him?

I lived in Grand Rapids for 5 years and can verify that all the other posts are absolutely true. I think you'll be hard pressed to find anyone to even pick up on the streets. Forget about trying to hire someone.

 

I finally moved from Grand Rapids to Salt Lake City where things are much more liberal.

Oh my.... Salt Lake City as a liberal escape. I was somewhat in jest... never lived in GR, but drove through it many times. But if there ever was a place to make stereotypes about, GR is it.

 

If is summertime, drive an hour or so to the shore and spend a weekend in Saugatuck. It is a fun, cute, pleasant partially gay weekend B&B resort. Was called the "Key West of the Midwest". Probably no escorts to be had, but lots of men in loose moods.
