After having drooled over the picture of the latest coverboy "Christopher" I checked out his website.

 

Unless I am reading it wrong - the guy is HIV+

 

I give him full marks for being upfront about it but if it is true and you are thinking of a rendezvous, I think you should be aware!

So does he, presumably, since, as you say, he was upfront about it. I think the title of your thread is a little harsh. The phrase "buyer beware" usually indicates a scam. Sounds to me like he's running anything but.

I have to agree with Devon on this one. He's upfront with it right away in his ad, which is the ideal way to deal with it. You guys might be surprised how many requests I've had from poz guys looking for poz escorts; there's definitely a market for it.

 

Further, considering how many working guys out there are secretive about their status (one is too many in my opinion), or who have never been tested and have no clue about what they may have (many more of those), Mr. Christopher should be given praise rather than warning. It's those that don't tell or don't know that deserve the "BEWARE" label.

It was not my intention to sound harsh. I stated I gave him full marks for disclosing his status.

 

The only point of my post was to make prospective clients aware of his condition in case they happened to hire him without reading his web site first.

 

All of the reviews he has received have been glowing - but - no one mentioned the poz subject. I just hope they were all well informed.

Not to sound any more cynical that I already do here, but my policy is to deal with everyone like they are poz. This is just a necessary precaution of this occupation and playing around in general these days!

I agree, a little harsh. He was quite upfront about it, and I'd hire anyway - he was cute, and the kink part always interested me, especially his old pics on his website.

Assume the odds are 2% chance getting it by blowing (though one report said 7% last year, and has sorta been held up in rebuke). Higher of course for unprotected anal giving and even higher if active.

No matter how u cut it (bad pun), we are all at risk if you hire escorts or just trick enough to come within those percentages. I just always assumed a lot of the people lied, didn't know genuinely and/or just clueless (as in that bad case of the flu last month).

Thunderbuns, I believe your intention was sincere, just a very bad choice of words were used.

 

Christopher has always been upfront about his HIV status. I'm sure guys who are not POZ would hire him as well. There are many things I can think of that can be done between a NEG & a POZ that would be fun AND safe.

It's 20 years since AIDS invaded the homeland and there are still many many people who react to this fact with borderline hysteria.

Frankly, I found this post at least insensitive and offensive at worst. Please note that "I think you should be aware" has an exclamation point at the end - DANGER!!!! In this day and age, anyone who doesn't factor in the possibilty that someone is HIV+ and behave accordingly (if they even want to) isn't going to be "helped" by an hysterical post.
