RE: Questions for

Hi there -

Well, this answer will infuriate some of the people here :-), but I've always had good luck meeting guys through AOL.

If I'm in the mood to meet a new escort, AOL is the first place I turn. I like guys who are younger, bright, educated, fun and it's been my experience that part-time, college-age escorts often fit this description. They also seldom advertise, usually aren't seeking a lot of publicity and aren't seeking a huge number of clients.

I've been told many times that finding clients on AOL tends to be pretty easy and it's a no-cost marketing technique. It's also perfect for guys who want to escort only at certain times and who don't want a lot of exposure, since they can create escort names and personas.

Searching the AOL member directory with the word "escort" and the name of a city usually will turn up guys. (If the city name has two words in it, like Los Angeles, choose only one and search using that: "escort angeles" will return lots of results but "escort los angeles" will come back as being too broad.) If you use the advanced search to only list men who are online, you'll find guys who are looking to hook up right away.

AOL city-based chatrooms are also a good source as are the "companion" rooms that replaced the "escort" rooms.

I don't travel often to southern Florida, so I can't offer you any advice there. But I can't think of any reason why it would be different than other areas of the US.

One caveat: with AOL guys, I absolutely never meet someone if they are unwilling to send me a picture or a link to a Web site that does have a face pic. Pictures that just show a body or a cock are of no interest to me. I don't email or IM any discussion that includes a description of sexual services and monetary payments. I am turned off by -- but don't necessarily reject out-of-hand -- guys who ask for my picture, because my experience with guys who do is that they are often more into themselves than their clients. I don't talk to guys who don't have profiles.

Sometimes guys on AOL are flakes; it's no different than anywhere else. But if you're willing to invest an hour of your time when you get to a new city and are willing to send out a few emails stating in general terms what you are looking for and asking for a pic and a rate in return, you'll probably find some guys who are fun and available.

Good luck. ;)

If you don't care, then don't ask. How fickle. :+ Anyway, I didn't "bring up" my degrees. I said "Two right here" in response to a question you posed: "Who are the others?" You then brought up my degrees. However, I sincerely apologize for interrupting your private discussion with Matt...but perhaps next time you might want to send him a private message if you don't want others on the board to respond. We dumb whores get easily confused!

No. Matt volunteered that "a lot" of escorts are people who have "multiple degrees." I asked him for some examples. You then volunteered yourself and the other guy as examples. I didn't ask you to address a post to me, but since you did I replied to be polite.

If you say so. For future reference, when I ask a question of another poster it's usually HIM whom I would like to respond. Sorry if that is at all confusing.

RE: Questions for

I'm getting very confused by people's obsession with whether the average escort is smart, what other careers he could have chosen, and now whether he would recommend the trade to his nearest and dearest. What do these people really want to know, and why do they refuse to believe an escort when he says he's smart? Do you need to feel superior

Guys, escorting is smart! As I posted on a thread on this subject, think of all these advantages:

1. no taxes

2. no licensing fees

3. no time clock

4. no layoffs or firings (usually)

5. no education needed

6. no paperwork and regulation

The list goes on and on. How else can a young guy with no capital start his own business, and rely totally on his good looks and charm? Why is this such a puzzle for you guys, that a well-educated guy would choose to do this? And then you get abusive when they try to explain? Obviously this is not the only scenario in the business, but for a lot of smart escorts (and strippers) it happens. Is that so unbelievable?

Amazing. That's why you're trudging around to your jobs every day to pony up for these guys, and they're off spending the money.

The majority of reasonable posters here find his posts to be arrogant, illogical, negative, and erroneous. Says a lot about you.

>...Pick didn't say

>there are no threads about things other than prostitution

>and being gay, just that relatively few posters seem

Relatively few posters on a website devoted to GAY PROSTITUTION seem interested in discussing topics aside from GAY PROSTITUTION?? My heavens, what is the world coming to? Do you suppose next they're gonna be talking about decoupage at marthastewart.com?? Shocking.

You and pickwick sicken me. Go get Hepatitus C. Ask pickwick how, he's an expert.

Here’s another skank-filled thread full of escort bashing and finger pointing. It’s easily predictable that when an escort is being ridiculed clients band together and trash him with such infantile name calling as "prostitute".

Who’s to say an escort cannot have a degree? Who are you to prejudge anyone’s intelligence? Escorts are not as dumb as you would like to believe. Yeah we take cash for cock but that hardly makes us any lesser of a person than you "claim" to be.

Just be careful what you say and try not to be so two-faced. After all, when your dick stands tall and there’s no one around but a bottle of lube and your dry palm, who do you call, huh?

Who do you call?

I can undersand why you're very confused. I never asked if Jeff would recommend escorting to members of his family.

So where do I ask if he would recommend escorting to a family member??? You read into my question a lot more than what it asked.....

Welcome to The M4Mescorts Zone. This strange and little known plane of reality is populated by bitchy middle-aged queens who love to attack others, so much so that when they find nothing to object to in what you actually posted they will invent something and attack you for having "implied" it.

"But ya are, Blanche, ya are !!!"

Joey,

Escorts, as we talk about them on this site, are prostitutes. I would take exception with being labeled a hustler, and this implies outright deception and/or theft.

Why avoid the obvious, you don't have any issues with being a prostitute? I don't have any issues with it. The term escort just gives an illegal transaction some semblance of a legal transaction.

Many words used to "trash" a group of people are often disarmed by that same group that was victim of such words. For example queer was never that kind of a word. Now it is used quite a bit, and without a negative slant. Just use prostitute to describe your work, and it will become mainstreamed.

Well, those semblances can sure come in handy... ;-)Also "prostitute" is reductive -- it focuses only on the exchange of sex and money, whereas "escort" does at least imply a provider of a broader range of services.

I think there are better candidates for the kind of mainstreaming you advocate. "Ho, "whore," "hooker" are much more like "queer" than "prostitute," which sounds legalistic much as "homosexual" sounds clinical. Plus a lot of escorts already call themselves hos, usually in more of a jokey sense than queer activists used "queer," but in a similar spirit of reclamation. "Ho" also gets a boost from its hip-hop cultural roots, which permit similarly varied meanings: it can be an insult ("Nate ain't never loved no hos" -- Nate Dogg), an assertion ("I'm a crazy ho / Fool test me, that's a no-no" -- Missy Elliot) or a shout-out ("Where my bitches at? Where my hos at?" -- Eve).

"Hooker" and "whore," of course can be used similarly and are easier to pluralize. With "ho," there's always that Dan Quayle moment -- should you call us hos, hoes or ho's? :o
