Two reviews published today fit into the category:"What the hell is that all about". Justin Powers gets a recommendation. When we read the reviews, we get information which should result in a "Not Recommended". We get NO CLUE as to what happened. All we get is info on how good looking the guy is and that he was nice....something obvious by looking at his pic. The second review is of "Malibu". Again, absolutely no info as to what happened. All we get is how overcome with emotion the client was when he saw Malibu. Both those reviews should be rejected by HooBoy because THEY ARE USELESS. There is another thread here, started by HooBoy, which discusses the process of writing reviews. There are many suggestions, many good ones but whatever your opinion about what reviews should include, I think most people would agree that the reviews of Justin Powers and Malibu, published today, should just have been rejected as being too vague. Am I being too demanding here?

>Am I being too demanding here?

I don't think so Kenny. But I think it's been pretty well established that Justin Powers (aka shrimp cocktail) is a total fraud....pics, performance, etc. I was surprised to see him chosen as the daily tart. Malibu, if I recall correctly (which I've never done otherwise), is a close second. Nice catch though.

I think "total fraud" is a little strong. Justin is somewhat Kirk-ish. If you catch him at the right time, in the right way, he can be very fucking hot. I've had a couple little sessions with him that were rather stiumulating, and a couple of forgettable ones. He isn't my first choice under any circumstances, but he can definitely be useable and even better.

He's very gruff, not talkative, and exudes no happiness or charm; he's also sometimes unreliable. That's why so many people are repelled by him. But, in his defense, he's also passionate, self-centered, angry and abusive. *Those* attributes, when channeled the right way, are the ones that can make him hot. And he is definitely very good looking, as his pictures reflect.

Anyone named Malibu should be avoided for that reason alone.

I think "little" seshes pretty well describes him. That would also be the main difference with Kirk. If I'm rolling around in the rack with a "straight" boy, he'd better be hard and hung. And I don't think I need to tell you that on the odd time you're doing B&Bs (bumps and beepers), you'd rather have a horse than a Vienna sausage. Think Zack Mateo.

I think you are demanding too much. The review of Justin Powers struck me as a very insightful explanation of the previous negative reviews. I first discovered this site at the same moment I was involved in an email correspondence with Justin about a possible appointment, and although he looked exactly my type, I was uncomfortable with his tone in the correspondence. I decided not to go through with an appointment based on those reviews. This new review clarifies for me what was making me uneasy in the correspondence, and confirms my feeling that I probably wouldn't have enjoyed myself that much (unless Justin happened to be in that passionately angry and abusive mood that TT extols). I don't think it's important that the reviewer didn't go into the sexual mechanics of their date.

As for Malibu, the reviewer makes clear that he is only into mostly non-tactile muscle worship, and that's what he describes happening in their encounter, in which he thought Malibu did that sort of act very well. It's clear from several threads here that a number of other readers are also into that, so that is useful information for them.

I totally agree, the more information the better. One of the great things about Hooboy's site is that it helps you to make better decisions about which escorts to hire and which to avoid. A more detailed review also lets you establish reasonable expectations in advance so things are more likely to work out positively for everybody. Interesting that this thread referenced Malibu. He is a knockout in his pictures, and exactly my type. I almost hired him last year, but made a decision not to based on the many negative reviews I read on this site. When there are so many other choices, why take a chance on someone that is likely to leave you upset and frustrated?

I have has some totally awesome escort experiences, Alec Powers, Sam Dixon and Eric York being among the very best. I have also had some bad ones, Scott Sloan being the VERY worst. Good hunting guys!

Is that a little Kirk-ish or a little cuntish? I have to admit TT, you've given me a new word to use.

Malibu, the name is reason enough for avoiding. LMAO.

CT,

Ya, was a hard one to resist. :) I just hope you won't reincarnate as Ethan the escort from DC. Despite all the unacknowledged grammer and speling errors, we still get through the day.

Speaking of.... I remember in a thread he proudly declared, whatever the state of the economy, he will NEVER lower his rate. Later, in some travel thread he advised normal DC rates don't apply as he was in St. Louis. I know is a different city and all, but his NEVER was so, well, absolute.

RE: Generic Useless Review

As a service to those who like to post useless reviews, I offer the following. All you have to do is fill in the escort’s name.

When (INSERT ESCORT’S NAME) appeared at the door, I couldn’t believe how fabulous he looked, much better than his pictures. He is a delightful conversationalist and can talk intelligently on any subject. He made me feel comfortable right away; I felt like I had known him for years. I don’t want to describe what happened in the bedroom since it was deeply personal. I just want to say that I have never experienced anything like this before and I have been hiring escorts for many, many years. (NAME) is not a clock-watcher and concentrated on making sure my needs were satisfied. And he didn’t rush for the bathroom when we finished but stayed next to me in the bed for cuddling and sweet talk. I can’t wait to see (NAME) again. In fact, I’ve already made a date for next week.

We're in the minority here, Charlie, but I agree. The first review essentially conveyed that he was straight, uninterested, and requires a lot of work to set up an appointment. Despite this, the reviewer liked him, but conscious that others might not.

The reviewer for Malibu liked him cuz he was good-looking and he liked "worshiping" the body. Clearly the looks of the guy were what the guy wanted and liked.

In both cases, enough info was given me that I wouldn't hire them - but it seems that both reviewers got what they wanted. I think that's the key.

I've never posted a review so I don't know exactly what steps you take to write one and send it in. However I'm sure that there is an instructional area that does tell you how to do it. Why not add an extra page that explains to reviewers the importance of full detailed reviews. Some people would ignore it, but I think that it would help overall, without having to dictate every last step for the writers.

You people are much too critical and unappreciative of other people's attempts at contributing to this board. If you're going to slam reviews then be prepared for them to cease.
