rates versus RATES!!

This is just a general post to see how clients are feeling about the rates that escorts are charing today. Even though I feel that escorts have the right to charge whatever rates that they choose, I still cannot imagine what type of client feels that ANY escort is worth rates up to $500/hour.

 

In my time, I have been with a couple of escorts (not a lot mind you, but a couple). My original thought was that expensive escorts were better quality than cheaper escorts. However, my limited exposure has shown a trend that makes me perceive the following about escorts based on their rate structures:

 

Expensive Escorts:

1. Ego Problems

2. Does not perform to expectations

3. Being late

4. Burned out from seeing too many clients before seeing you

5. Experienced, but not prone to taking the initiative

 

Cheaper Escorts:

1. Seems to be more friendly or "down to earth"

2. Seems eager to please client

3. Seems to be on time more so than not

4. Seems to be more energetic

5. Not as experienced as expensive escorts, and may tend to be more passive due to limited sessions or clients.

 

This is just my opinion based on my exposure to escorts and surely does not imply that every escort who charges a lot is like what I am seeing. I am not trying to start a debate, but I wanted to use this post to arm clients with the fact that the $500/hour you are paying on a "name" brand escort may be better spend on a less experienced but eager escort who is new to the scene and would be willing to do an all night session for the same amount of money.

 

I have seen a few escorts currently that I think are really hot and who I think would be wonderful in bed....but lets face it clients....$500/hour?????? For that kind of money, I would expect service on the level of "out of this world".

I assume you knew when you posted this message that it was as good a fodder for debate as anything else we discuss on this board.

 

I only know of a few escorts that are charging $500 an hour and they tend to be high-profile porn stars. It’s just simple supply and demand and if they can get it…more power to them. It seems to me that if you are consistently booked at ‘X’ dollars, it only makes sense to charge more and work less. I also think these guys tend to be hired to fulfill a fantasy about being with a particular porn star so that might be worth more to many people.

 

I’m lucky enough not to have a “thing” for porn stars so the most I’ve ever paid is $300 an hour. However, I pay $250 pretty consistently, since he is without a doubt, the best escort I’ve ever hired. Are there great escorts that charge less? Absolutely. But that is what this particular stud charges and I’m happy to pay it.

 

I am always slightly amused when people are shocked at the price of buying sex. It is, after all, a vice, and one that should not be cultivated by men without a reasonable amount of disposable income. Also, it is my understanding that high quality male escorts are still a huge bargain compared to their female counterparts. God knows I’ve never hired a female, but my friend who does, STARTS at $500 and goes up from there.

Perhaps we could look at it this way: Hiring Billy Brandt once is really the same as hiring an escort that charges $250 twice. It also gives me the advantage of joining in on all the Billy Brandy debates on this site. Or just bringing his name up whenever I want to, like now. Then there's the fun of gay gossip columinists contacting me for "information" about our Billy. Taking all this into consideration he's a real bargain (and a nice guy as well). Better than frequent flyer miles! Certainly, you don't get all these side benefits with just a $250 an hour escort.

I spent the extra money too, Alan. And I don't regret it at all. Billy was a very nice boy... and worth the time. I do have a whole bunch of favorites who charge me a whole lot less for our time, so let's not tell them that I have paid more for someone else! LOL

I find it interesting that the escorts that own their houses and have their cars paid for always seem to charge the market rates of 150 to 250 depending on where they are.

 

One escort I know retired because his real job was now paying over 100k a year and his recent whoring had paid for the remodel on his condo. He felt that after 15 years it was time to retire.

 

There are numerous stories of high priced escorts that always seem to need a helping hand finding clients or even a place to crash. What really gets me is they never seem to ever say thank you.

I have knowingly hired only 4 porn actors as escorts (among literally dozens of others - and two who, when I was with them I did NOT know were porn actors). Without a doubt, the money I spent with Michael Vincenzo was of extreme value. Even had nothing happened, just to sit and listen to him was worth the money. As has been said often enough here, Michael stands high above most others.

 

I also ALMOST (and regret to this day that it was ALMOST) had a date with Yuri Breshnev (forshadowings of my fun times in Moscow now???). I would easily have parted with the money he and/or Alec, his partner request. I still would if my path ever crosses theirs again. Even when I had to cancel the appointment almost at the last minute, he was most kind and understanding. Yuri falls into that catagory for me that, no matter what he asked for his rates, I'd probably pay it (and he does not ask for that much, thank heavens).

 

Of the many others who fall into the medium price range, most have been exceptionally enjoyable company.

 

Unfortunately I get spoilt by European rates which are far lower, and the escorts generally more versatile, friendly, mature and eager to please. I have never come across an escorts with ATTITUDE in Europe (admitting they must exist somewhere). They are all most appreciative of our time together (or can fake it better than most), and gernally very classy. AND many of them are highly intelligent and able to somehow - amazingly - balance two or three jobs (I have been with escorts who, in real life, are doctors, nurses, graduate students, in high tech advertizing and sales, art dealers, even lawyers - and who would not want to screw a lawyer for once???).

On the flip side of this question, I don't hire the cheapest either. When checking out the local rag, I figure that the guy charging noticeably less than the others has less to offer. Maybe I'm wrong. Any thoughts?

I totally agree with you on that one. "You get what you pay for" is undoubtedly true in the escort market when it comes to the cheapest guys in a certain spot. Some of my worst experiences have been with the least expensive guys.

 

However, that doesn't mean that rates and results are directly tied. Once you get up to the $175 - 250 range, I've seen very little correlation between how much the escort charges and how much I enjoy the experience. As for the top dollar guys, I haven't paid more than $300 often, but when I have it's usually been worth it. All of the expensive guys were big name porn stars, and only one of them was a mild disappointment, mostly because of chemistry--not any attitude that he had with me.

 

BTW I just spent a bit more than average a few days ago with Michael Vincenzo and I'm STILL buzzing. That was some of the best bucks I've EVER spent--the guy is an animal and a sweetheart at the same time.

 

Bottom line, it just depends on the guy and the chemistry. Past a certain point on the dollar scale, I don't think price is an indicator.
