I haven't been to TT's in so long. I do go to the Pocket though. It's like any bar - you have a lot of competition for a stripper's attention. These guys are pretty transient too. They have no problem making you wait around till 2 AM for a hook up then slipping out the door after collecting mucho tips from you all night. Maybe in some cities the dancers are more professional and want to protect their reputations but here they know they aren't in town long and don't care.

 

Anyway, you can tell that some of them are probably doing "side work". I think you get the best selection at the Pocket on New Meat Night (Fridays) but by the same token you are buying the company of an inexperienced chicken. In these case you don't get what you pay for.

 

I have hired a couple guys out of Oz who were dancing. But, the "pro" dancers tend to be pseudo-straight - and aren't very versatile. They have a much longer list of "I Dont's" than "I Do's".

 

It's a sad scene here at times.

I've seen many guys move into town on nothing, and decide to dance at the Corner Pocket on New Meat night. After making a first round of good tips the majority usually head out to Oz and "celebrate" all night. After that it's usually a downward spiral until they move away.

I haven't been in the Corner Pocket that many times, but just from chatting with people on the balcony of Oz or the Pub one gets the feeling that they must have an extremely high turnover of dancers. One guy scamming you and jumping town on a random weekend, wouldn't hurt his reputation that much.

So there was my two cents on the state of affairs here. I can't say I didn't ride that downward spiral for a while, but I have since straitened up my act considerably, and seen myself thrive because of it.
