Sometimes, it really would be better if the defendant just didn't take the stand. I am constantly amazed that some escorts seem to think this level of vitriol directed at their dissatisfied clients will achieve anything other than turning off other potential clients.

Yuck indeed.

When I read his response I was so enraged that I immediately e-mailed him the following:

I just read your response to the "bad review" you received on Hooboy's Male 4 Male escort site. Quite frankly, you are a disgrace to the escort profession. If you are unable to deal with people you consider unattractive then you are in the wrong business. I don't think too many people who look like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, etc hire escorts. The moment you laid eyes on this man, you knew immediately if you could or could not engage with this man TO HIS SATISFACTION. If you decide to proceed with the engagement then you proceed in a professional manner and COMPLETE THE JOB. If you are unable to do this then you are in the wrong profession. Undoubtedly it is difficult to be a truly professionl escort. From your reaction to this incident, it is obvious that you are not meant to do this type of work. Wake up and smell the coffee. You either act professionally and do the job correctly...(no, you do not request photos from clients and ONLY SATISFY CLIENTS YOU CONSIDER ATTRACTIVE) or get out and go work at McDonalds, whatever.

It should be interesting to see what sort of reaction your reply to your review elicits on Hooboy's web site.

Kenny, I'm definitely with you on this one. Just as clients need to be honest and thoughtful toward escorts, the converse it true as well. This guy is definitely in the wrong profession. While his picture is cute, it boggles the mind to think that he's only interested in providing service to people who pass his "looks" test. Pretty sad. Doubt I'd pass it, but have no desire to deal with someone so utterly shallow. I'm glad he posted the rebuttal. Certainly helps decent folk save their money for "the real thing", not some plastic knockoff.

Thank God for freedom of speech. I found Cody Scott's rebuttal to be one of the most insightful and thought-provoking responses I've seen. I'm glad HooBoy printed it so everyone can be forewarned.

But, I guess I won't have the opportunity of hiring him as an escort if he requires pictures of his clients. (I can't find a wide-angle lens big enough to capture my full girth.) :'(

Yet another escort shoots himself in the ass with an revolting response. Escorts who are so picky about the looks of the client need to leave the business.

Although I have not following the Cody Scott situation I am getting more and more puzzled by the arrogance and bizarre views of some of the newer escorts.

Quite frankly the Internet has made it very easy for anyone to hang out a shingle and call themselves an escort. The rules of engagement have changed over the last few years. Here are the current danger signals as I see them.

1. Those that invest the least in their business (if they are Internet based) are the ones that are the biggest risk.

2. Those that spend the most on print adverting. Quite frankly print advertising does not bring in very high quality clients these days.

3. The more the escort brags about their business the less likely you will enjoy the encounter.

4. The more an escort engages in chat room hustling the less likely you are going to enjoy them.

The interesting thing about the evolution of the Internet is there has become an interesting pattern to the advertising and public relations of the best escorts. The discriminating client looks more for subtleties as to how an escort markets themself.

There are certainly a lot more escorts than there were five years ago and there has been a big increase in clients too. What has not changed is that the best escorts and the best clients have still maintained a sense of class and in many respects are very low key

I am removing a message, after talking it over with HooBoy, because it was a post of a private e-mail message with no indication that it was posted with permission.

Have we learned nothing this week?

DO NOT POST PRIVATE MESSAGES UNLESS YOU GET PERMISSION TO DO SO!

Further infractions will result in reduction to moderated status.

as an escort, i don't understand other escorts who complain about the looks of their clients. the ones who talk about performing only for hot studly "jock-type" clients are pretty much idiots, as far as i can tell. sure, it is great if you're attracted to the client. but, part of being an escort is doing a good job even when you're not. i wouldn't suggest that anyone do anything unsafe or something with which he isn't comfortable, but trying to excuse obnoxious behavior by demeaning the appearance of the client is, well, inexcusable.

these whores who are in it just to satisfy an overactive libido should really just be honest, admit they're sluts, and give it away for free. that way, they won't be burdened with dealing with people who don't pass their attractiveness tests.
