Any suggestions on where to stay in Rehoboth Beach including hotels, motels, clubs and any escorts or escort services in the area?

If you are looking for a good place to stay, check out Silver Lake. It's a gay b&b and it's really nice. It's convenient to the downtown area.

There are tons of great restaurants.

When I went, it was past prime season and it was midweek so the clubs were dead.

Rehoboth Beach can be a lot of fun. Because many of the gay men that flock there each summer are from the Washington D.C. area, I have always noticed a certain degree of "cliquishness" among them, particularly if you are not perceived to be a card-carrying member of the i7th Street "gym bunny" crowd in D.C. It's kind of amusing, because D.C. is a great town if you like sex on a regular basis with hot, "straight-acting" Latin boys, whether for free or for "cab fare." I go to the beach in Delaware most weekends, and view the Rehoboth scene as something of a hairdressers' convention. Which is fine, because it gives me a rest from the real boys back in D.C.

That said, the basic "gay layout" in Rehoboth is The Renegade on Route 1 just outside of town for dancing. It doesn't get going until well after 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday nights are obviously your best bets. In town, Cloud 9 on Rehoboth Avenue has a decent restaurant and a good-sized bar which seems reasonably popular in the evening. The Blue Moon on Baltimore Avenue is popular for happy hour throughout the weekend, and also has a well-regarded restaurant. Baltimore Avenue (which runs one block north of Rehoboth Avenue) is the "Main Drag" (so to speak)

of gay life in Rehoboth; you will find a variety of restaurants and gay-owned or themed businesses.

Wilmington Avenue (one block south of Rehoboth Avenue) also has a number of "upscale" restaurants. My current favorite is "Espuma," which is located at the corner of Wilmington and First Street. Their paella is great.

"The Beach" for gay people and their friends is popularly known as "Poodle Beach," and is located at the far southern end of the Boardwalk past Prospect Street. I find it a rather odd, tense place because the cruising is relentless. Instead, I go to Dewey Beach (a half-mile south) which is loaded with hot college boys who seem generally unaware that I am mentally undressing them. But, to each his own. I have been told that gay men also frequent the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park, which is a few miles north of Rehoboth and far less crowded than either Rehoboth or Dewey.

Your choice of hotels in the Rehoboth area is bounded only by your budget. While not a "gay" hotel, I have heard that the Boardwalk Plaza (located directly on the Boardwalk at Olive Ave., and only steps from Baltimore Ave.) is quite nice. You could get a room with an ocean view there, although I'm sure that you'll pay handsomely for it in high season.

Speaking of paying handsomely (or perhaps paying "Handsome"), I am unaware of any local escort service in Rehoboth Beach. I suspect that once in awhile you can pick up one of the aforementioned Dewey Beach college boys who has had a few drinks and is willing to "explore" a bit; but I'm sure you know how that goes. Seriously, I think that your best bet would be to contact an escort service in D.C., Baltimore, or New York and see if they have guys to your liking who are available for travel. While it will obviously be an added expense, you will at least be immune to the "attitude" that sometimes prevails in Rehoboth, and who knows, you might end up the talk of Poodle Beach.

Have fun, and remember, there's no sales tax in Delaware!

Huh? Since when? WHERE are you finding these "straight-acting" Latin boys? Agree with much of what you say about DC and Rehoboth, especially

the cliquishness, but NEVER found it a good town for sex on ANY basis, much less with the "Latin boys," whom I want but can never find?

Only Latin guys I seem to observe are Central Americans, who don't seem even to be aware that there are guys interested in them, much less who have any interest in US........

Where do you find these guys or where do they hang out? How do you approach them? Please share with the rest of us. Inquiring minds are dying to know....

Please elaborate if you would for us out-of-towners who visit occasionally.
