Has anyone ever been with this gorgeous stud in New York featured on the MMOTI (Muscle Men of the Internet). Am curious about your experience?

I know nothing of this Loki, but I find the name interesting. Remember that the Norse Loki, like the Indian Coyote, was a trickster god whom it was not always a good idea to try to befriend. In fact, in the Marvel comic book universe, he is definitely a bad guy. I would feel much more comfortable with an escort who had named himself after a different god, like Heimdall or Baldar. Is he setting us up for something and then he can say, well I warned them?

From what I've read and heard, Loki is not an escort. He is a bodybuilder who sometimes agrees to muscle worship. Many things have been posted on the http://www.muscleservice.com site, and perhaps you can do a search there and at least find some of the more recent postings.

Bilbo, that's an interesting observation - especially from someone named after a hobbit ;-)

I'm not sure that I would read too much into it, though - I suspect that the guy picked the name just because he "liked the sound of it".

Michael - Yes, there are many things that I want to emulate about hobbits and that one in particular. (And it sorta sounds like my first name and initial - check out my massage ad for my e-address if you want to check that out.)

Speaking about interesting names, I wish Bunglepok (named after the noises he used to make when making fun of his friends trying to speak foreign languages) would post again.

And isn't it about time for Skeptic to be back from his sabbatical?

And for Regina to get nonwork computer access?

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-00 AT 07:42PM (EST)[p]Most wise and estimable hobbit, you speak truth. Many thanks for giving voice to my own thoughts (and to those of many others, I am sure), and may our absent friends soon rejoin us.

They are missed!

Yes---I have spoken to Loki on the phone once, because I thought he had such an incredibly hot body, and he is NOT an escort but may agree to a session where you can look, maybe touch, but not anything else. It was not what I was looking for--I wanted a bit more, so I did not see him. But he DOES have a gorgeous body!!

Actually, I'm sure Loki picked his name deliberatly, knowing full well all the connotations it has. He's a smart, well-read guy. He's got one of Nietzsche's pithy quotes about Christianity on his AOL profile, so I suspect he's more intrigued by polytheistic belief systems than monotheism. (That's fine by me! :-) Bilbo, you have to look at Loki's - the Norse god, I mean - role in the mythology. Loki was a lot more complicated and fascinating than Marvel Comics made out.)

I first met him (er, Loki the BB) at the Gay Games BB competition in NYC '94. (I ended up doing some volunteer work for them, but that's another story.) He looked incredible, I thought; I didn't really get to have more than a brief conversation with him. This was long before "Loki."

A few months later, I finally called an escort ad on one of the phone lines that had sounded promising. It was a regularly placed ad - rugged sounding guy saying he's a dominant muscle top for worship & service. I booked him, he shows up, and lo! - it was Loki! I don't think he recognized me from the games, or he didn't let on, and neither did I. Anyway, he looked even better than before and he's incredibly good at that kind of scene - completely commanding, big everything.

I was definitely going to call him again, but somehow I lost the phone number, and he'd stopped leaving ads on the phone line. I don't think he ever advertized anywhere else, and he never tried or wanted to make a real business out of escorting. He was just trying it out and raising some extra cash. So that was that. I saw him around a few times over the next few years, but everytime either I was with people or he was, so I couldn't ask him about any more appointments. At least two times I saw him he was walking around shirtless - it was crushing!

Then in late 1998 his picture showed up on the Muscle Service Station and I found his website: http://members.aol.com/lokinyc/Page3.html

(I wish people would link to site when they refer to them.) Eventually, I screwed up the courage to email him and ask if I could see him agan. After a lot of back & forth, he agreed, only because he'd met me before, and because I would do what he wanted. That was in early '99.

So, the upshot is - he's not an escort, and he is as hot as he looks in the photos. I thought maybe by now he'd left town, since he was talking about moving, and his website hasn't been updated for several months. But his profile indicates he has a lover now, so I guess he's preoccupied.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-00 AT 05:08PM (EST)[p]It's funny, I've met with him also, under a different AOL screen name he uses, I think "MuscleDad4Boy." He has at least three, all with essentially the same profile.

He said in one profile that he was looking for an in-shape sub boy, so I emailed him. We got together at his place on the UWS, and had a pretty miserable time. Though he purported to want to be a "dad", he was basically a jerk -- I mean, even the sternest of tops can show some affection, but he just treated me like shit. It seemed to get him off. It was too much too soon for me. Midway through our meeting, he got up to take a leak, and I got my clothes on and said "I've got to go. This isn't my thing."

His body is, I guess, fantastic. But I'll take someone with a less buffed body and a more fun approach to sex any day.

BUT he might be perfect for someone else.

Midnight, It doesn't surprise me that the Norse Loki was very complex and interesting. I feel that too often our life and our goals lately are getting a bit too down to earth. I work in a touring children's theater troupe and often think of the Kachina clowns who would break up the normal rules and habits for a day or two so that when people went back to them they would see them afresh and hopefully only reinstate the ones that still made sense to them. See also the American Indian (sorry I can't remember which tribe(s)) legends of the coyote trickster god.

That doesn't mean that I'm not open to being found wrong. I hope I am if its done well (like you did).

I agree with you that whenever possible it would be a good idea for posters to give us a link to at least a picture so that we can see what we're talking about. Just followed your link and now he is using the top part of that space to explain why he took the name Loki.
