There is a discussion going on in email about older escorts that probably belongs here. Someone commented with surprise that a 40+ escort could still make a living. I assume that there are actually a lot of us who are attracted to more mature men, who might be easier for us to converse with than a beautiful but inexperienced youth. Yet it is also true that very few older escorts seem to advertise, and most shave some years off their advertised age (hardly anyone admits to being past 39, no one past 49). I wonder if one problem is that older men are stereotyped as daddy-type tops, and that limits their range of action, particularly if they like to be versatile or bottoms. Would some older escorts (or those who are attracted to them)like to comment on this topic?

I always prefer guys who are a bit older. Around my own age of 45 is fine. I've also had great times with guys in their 30's, but many younger guys just don't do it for me and never really did. I don't think I've ever been with an escort over 40, but I'd love to find one that fills my (ahem) needs!

 

There's a couple of added bonuses to these guys. First, they've had lots of excperience and are usually better in bed than a boy-type. Also, unfairly, they usually don't command the premium prices the 21-year-old set often asks for. So, they can be your best escort value!

Hey, Charlie, where is this e-discussion? I'm with you. The further past thirty they are, the better I like it. I would hire a 45-year-old over a 35-year-old in a nanosecond, provided everything else was OK. But how to find these guys? In some of their ads, you can see that the photograph/body just don't go with the advertised age (usually in the 36-38 range, safely this side of the Big Four Oh). If you or anybody else can tell me where to find escorts in the firmly middle-aged category, I would be very thankful. For instance, there's one on Escorts4You called Brian, I think, who is one of the best-looking and most senstivie seeming escorts of the whole bunch. But I've never seen him reviewed here. Maybe he doesn't even exist!

There is or was an agency in New York, called if I remember correctly, Maturity Escorts that specialized in escorts 30 55. They advertise(d) sporadically in Unzipped and seemed to be allied with another agency for the younger types, though I can't remember which one. I know, I know, lots of help.

One thing that is happening here is AIDS. Face it, older gay men are more rare than when we were kids because so many have unfortunately died off. Also, its only been comparatively recently that gay men who prefer older men have come out of the closet (so to speak) in numbers great enough to attract Madison Ave. or at least counterweight MA's mind molding. A lot of really hot older men are still having trouble believeing that other men find them all that attractive. (This can also happen to bears - note how one of us has already jumped to the conclusion that we are talking about older BBs.)

I am, for those of you who don't know, an exescort who is suddenly retired at the age of 49 by legal entanglements. Yes, I'm sure there's a market for escorts 'of a certain age.' I'm of a certain age myself, and I still tend toward guys who are in their 30s and older. (There's even one guy in his mid-50s, str8, married, a one-time bouncer/piano mover with a huge uncut dick, that I still see after decades of happily servicing him. HOWEVER, 'Maturity Escorts' is NOT the place to look for it! (Or 'Maturity Muscle,' an alternate name I think I've seen, too.) This is no agency at all, but the fantasyland of a quasi-psychotic gnome of singularly loathsome look & manner. When he advertises as a person, his moniker is usually 'Reno' (remember that name!), and you can find stuff on him over at muscleservice.com if you check the Logbook threads for any of those names. There may also be a 'Reno' review in the NYC section here. Whatever & wherever, these accounts are bound to amuse & appall you.

 

Speaking of ageism (both practiced and feared) I've always found it depressing when an escort lists himself as '29'. This is a red flag--for me anyway: any stud who isn't comfortable with being well into his thirties, and confident that what he has to offer is, well, ageless (as a big uncut dick is), isn't the kind of guy who's going to turn me on. I know this from long experience.

 

But it's a lousy idea in general. Oh, I know, some people actually ARE 29. But if you are, for God's sake fudge it one way or the other (be 28 or 31), lest anyone suspect (as I would) that '29' is a little white lie that telegraphs bigger lies to come.

So true! When I was 29, I was questioned about my age constantly! I'm now 30, and I vow to never lie about my age! It's a total disservice and insult to everybody to lie about one's age. Unfortunately, there are still many shallow people out there who believe that anyone over 30 is tired and worn out. But luckily, that has been changing more and more.
