Gossip columinst Michael Musto writes in the latest Village Voice "I was thrilled to come upon Hunkomania, a weekend revue...where male strippers expend almost as much sensual energy as Annabel Chong. The guys disrobe and act wildly interested in gaggles of bachelorettes who squeal their estrogen-laden hearts out - And I thought this only happened at The Gaiety." LOL! Not to shamelessly promote The Gaiety website again http://hometown.aol.com/user674699 but he actually e-mailed me letting me know he's visited it. LOL!

Hey Josh, thanks for the heads up on Musto's mention of 'Hunkorama' (or whatever it's called). How about telling us where it is, when it is, what it is etc.

BTW, I've been to your site about the Gaiety, but I still don't know why you call it the Gaiety web site--official or unofficial. Aside from your own highly personal thoughts on the place (mostly negative, I'd say), there doesn't seem to be any 'there' there. I mean actual content.

It's nice to know who's dancing there every week (even though anyone can call up the place at 221-8868 on Monday afternoon & find out easily enough), and I see that you've named Mark Woolf the pick of the week. But you go on to saw that this distinction is based on the fact that he received the highest number of "favorable reviews". Where are these reviews? Are guys sending you reviews of the Gaiety dancers as stage performers or as escorts?

If it's as performers, MW is an odd choice. Whatever his other attributes, Mark is a rather poor dancer (as I'm sure NYObserver would agree), and when I saw the show the other day, I can't say he had improved much (if at all) in this regard. And if it's as an escort, I'm even more baffled. You, collecting escort reviews?

Isn't one of the main points of your essay on the Gaiety that trafficking with escorts is a pathetic, delusional thing to do?

Newbie baby,

Here's the deal with the website. For some of you out there, you already know this. I am stating a strong opinion about hustlers which may not be cool with a lot of people, but it's simply a different point of view. I am not against adult entertainment like nude dancing. The pick of the week is based on any favorable e-mail sent to the website whether it's cause someone liked the dancer's dancing or other "talents". If only one dancer gets one e-mail with positive feedback by the middle of the week, I can't help that. If none of the dancers gets any e-mails, the pick of the week selection will not appear at all. If you have any other questions, send e-mail to the actual site. Stay safe.

Deep kisses with tongue,

Josh

Oh and about Hunk-a-mania or whatever...to find out more read the Village Voice article. You can get a free copy almost anywhere in the city. He even has an e-mail address you can write to at the bottom.
