LAST EDITED ON Mar-01-00 AT 08:15PM (CST)[p]I was very sorry to read about tb's experience with Patrick of Philadelphia. I must admit, however, that I would be hard pressed to send an airline ticket to someone I had never met. I'm not sure where you are in relation to Philly, but there are NUMEROUS hot men written up on the website from Philadelphia which could certainly keep you entertained (Premiere seems to be the service of choice in the city of brotherly love). Unfortunately for you, your story is a lesson to all of us. "Patrick from "Philly" deserves a separate level in escort hell, along with Billy Herrington and Scott Sloan, where they would be strapped into a chair and forced to experience lap dances from a naked, dripping, saggy Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Unless you know them really well, and phone/e-mail messages don't cut it, don't send money orders or plane tickets or you'll get your heart broken.

An aside: while looking at the options in Philly before writing this, I see a listing for Billy Brandt which describes a blond porno actor who seems to believe his own publicity--no problem, we all need to believe in ourselves--but for $500.00 for the first hour and $300.00 for each additional during which you'll discuss his "film career"? Come on, are you serious?

HooBoy had, at one time, suggested a separate forum listing no-show escorts rather than list them with all the others. I think it is best to keep all the escorts together, present and accounted for as well as those taking the money and running, this way you only have to look at one place for everything. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Beautiful day in New York today!

Yes Regina I agree, very unfortunate. I suggest Mr. Patrick pack up and leave the biz. Anyone who gets the reputation of a rip off especially on this site can say bye bye to their career. On the other hand most Escorts require as I do, half the appointed fee wired and the other half upon arrival. E-tickets that can be confirmed awaiting at the airport. I would go no where unless these requirements are lived up to in advance. When a client is nervous about this I tell him I can provide him with numerous references and in most cases none are needed and all goes as planned.

Yes, beautiful day here today! Even took my bike to the park :)

LAST EDITED ON Mar-02-00 AT 08:43AM (CST)[p]Sorry, I disagree with Sean. I've flown MANY escorts to visit me - usually from the West coast. I don't have the option of hiring companionship from anyone locally because that profession hasn't made it to Hooterville. Only once have I been asked to send $$$ before the meeting, except for during preliminary conversations where I became convinced that the escort would never live up to what he promised and I terminated the negotiations. Naturally, that one time I pursuaded myself to send the requested money in advance was one of the worst escort experiences I've ever had.

Obviously, if you can hire locally, do it. Otherwise, there's no way out of the risk related to sending a prepaid plane ticket that an escort can easily redeem at least for credit. Considering the risk HE takes by flying away from home, it's an even trade. I know I wouldn't be very comfortable away from my home turf. They do have to use a "real" name for the ticket, so that helps lower your risk, especially if you don't come across as a total wimp who wouldn't pursue the matter if you got ripped off. Sometimes, especially on Southwest, you can buy reasonably priced one-way tickets, which lowers the risk, but I don't think they are very fair to the escort - he deserves the guarantee of getting home. Thankfully, I've never had a problem sending a ticket.

Any reputable escort should have the good sense to realize that you've contributed your fair share of the risk / trust factor by buying the ticket. It's a two-way deal. His contribution is to show up. Then, hopefully, let the fun begin. An escort's request for advance $$$ should be a warning sign.

Because of the potential problems associated with travelling escorts, surely it's obvious that hiring someone you already know is definitely advantagous and less risky. (Love driving around and around the airport only to realize he's been standing there the entire time - just doesn't look ANYTHING like his picture, description, etc ... )

By the way, I NEVER take an escort to my home - not even the friend I've seen semi-regularly for 5 years. (No, he's not the only one I see, which is probably a mistake on my part.)

Good luck.

RO Sorry you disagree with me but being someone who's been in the biz for a while and have been burnt a few times I refuse to do it again. Tickets up front and half the fee up front or my feet don't leave the ground. And none of my clients have a problem doing this so far. Its my Guarantee. Sorry you had a bad experience, but not all Escorts are out to rip off clients. And with the birth of this site others can be warned of this.

Cheers, Sean

Do you require an advance even from established clients with whom you're comfortable? I'm amused with your comment that it's your "guarantee". Where in that arrangement is there ANY consideration for the client's risk?

Nevertheless, it's a personal decision. I'm not saying either of us is right or wrong. I highly respect the various elements of danger you're obviosly subecting yourself to with this type of unique arrangement. I've often thought to myself while discussing travel meetings with an escort, "Dude, you don't know me well enough to tell me some of this stuff ..."

Whichever way we choose, I hope we both always get home safely!! Our world gets stranger everyday.

Hi RO, If its a client that I've seen on more than 2 occasions its not a big deal to have the money up front since I've built up a trust. But airline tickets are still required. As far as the clients risk for me not showing up, I think that anyone flying anyone anywhere they haven't met is taking the risk but as I said before I can provide several references to assure a new client I'm not a rip off. Also the reviews of me on this site :)I think that's HooBoys goal here. To provide clients with a good Escort that they can trust.

Great discussion. I must admit, I would be hard pressed to forward any fee--portion or otherwise--prior to arrival. I would, however, be willing to provide a portion of the fee upon arrival. Airline tickets, of course, would have to have been received prior to the engagement and would have to be round-trip. I never really considered the escort be stranded without airport transportation but I'm sure there are some sick people who would find it funny.

Them's my thoughts...any other escorts have thoughts about this issue? I would be curious of others travel arrangements, etc. Money in advance, certain lodging requirements, etc...it would be informative for those considering transporting escorts into the netherlands, whereever they may be.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN!

I just read an account of someone being ripped off by Bryan in Denver (denbucboi28@aol.com). He mailed a bank check which is impossible to rescind. I doubt if he would send cash to a total stranger, no matter how many times he e-mailed sweet nothings.

I feel bad for the guy and feel nothing but contempt for Bryan in Denver. It's one thing to rob someone, it's another to rob someone of their money AND prey upon their lonely heart.

Bryan in Denver (denbucboi28@aol.com), to the cornfield with you! Men in Denver, add him to your Queen Soopers shopping list under "case of bad news"!
