A Bust In NYC

Hey Hooboy -

 

Just wanted to let you know (if you didn't already) that there are sting

operations going on in the NYC area. I know of at least two escorts who were

busted in the past two weeks, including one last night on Long Island. Both

arrests were at medium-budget hotels and in both cases, initial contact was

made over the Internet. PLEASE ALERT CLIENTS AND ESCORTS AS BEST YOU CAN...

NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN - EVER.

 

Bail for the kid last night was set at $5000 (which is relatively high) and

he has been charged with a Class D Felony. When "solicitation" takes place

over a medium like the internet, it has interstate implications, and state

AND/OR federal laws may govern - in any event, the charge and the penalties

are more serious.

 

I don't know all of the details, and I don't know how many more escorts have

been busted, but we have been in contact recently with local gay legal

resources, as it appears so far that only M4M escorts have been targeted.

How can I get the word out?? Can you help me? We all need to remember that

law enforcement personnel DO NOT have to identify themselves until they are

MAKING and arrest. In other words, asking a potential client or escort if he

is a cop just doesn't cut it. They can and do lie then and then lie again in

court - it happens all the time. Also, escorts need to remember to NEVER

answer questions such as "how much for..." no matter how it is phrased. (In

one case here, the fee had been set at $200 in advance, then at the hotel,

the "client" said, "so it's gonna be $150 for you to fuck me, right?" The

escort answered, "no, it's 200" and 5 of NY State's finest burst into the

hotel room.

 

Anyway, just wanted to give you the heads up and ask advice on how best to

get the word out here. (Computer literacy is not listed in my bio as an

asset.) I've been entering escort chat rooms and letting people know, but

would like to do more somehow. Hope all is well.

I understand that the magazine "Steam" which listed places to go to hook up, now on line as http://www.cruisingforsex.com, is a major staple for law enforcement (or is that entrapment...). It appears that they've discovered this little jewel as well. And people have the nerve to ask me why I won't vote for Giuliani! Keep this in mind when Rudy's name appears on that ballot! This really steams me up. While I understand that what we are doing is technically illegal, it seems to be that the public's greater good is best served when people are caught doing this out in the open and not in private.

 

More sickening still, politicians will scream for more money to stop murder, rape, muggings, etc. and then spend it on this "victimless" crime.

 

No matter where we live we should keep these things in mind when hitting the polls.

Someone should ask Hillary if she'd "look the other way" if a guy was giving another guy a blow job, as she did in the similar situation with her husband.

First off if the arrest took place in NYC bail would not have been posted as THEY DO NOT POST BAIL for prostitution in NYC or NY state. I don't know where you are getting your information from. As one of the Escorts busted in last summers sting I can assure you i know the details of how they operate. As for LI I wouldn't know as I don't travel there. I too was busted off the net and was not charged with anything other than prostitution. My attorny got it dropped to a disordlery conduct charge. So if these Escorts were busted and bail was posted at anything they must have had drugs on them or something. Also as far as a sting going on in NYC I would be one of the first ones notified of this situation I CAN ASSURE YOU and so far not a word. Hope its not true!

It's rather naive to blame the Mayor for busting escorts. STing operations go on in any administration. You only hear about these during Republican administrations because of the fact that the mainstream media is 90% liberal. Escorting in this country is illegal, and any intelligent escort should have enough intelligence NOT to discuss fees and services fact-to-face with anyone. Giuliani has done more in 4 years than Koch and Dinkins in 16 to clean up a City that had a dreadful reputation for crime and filth. Do-nothing liberals are "everybody's friend" during election time, but accomplish nothing. The message here is be smart and take responsibility for your actions. First of all I am bisexual, not gay. Secondly, you have been so indoctrinated by liberal culture as to be blinded to the truth. Personal freedom is the mantra of true conservatism, while the left seeks to make you dependent on government for every aspect of your life. THe true hypocrites are those who speak of the rights of the individual, but support a government that turns the individual into a dependent fool. There is nothing self-loathing about Gay Republicans or any non-leftist. They celebrate their freedom to be Gay without the shackles of government. I'm reluctant to get into a political discussion on ths board, as it is a bit out of place. Hooboy can delete all this stuff if he thinks political discussions don't belong here, but.....

 

You seem a little paranoid about the government. Do you have a cabin in Montana? I'm also not sure that I know who the "leftists" are that you refer to that have been running the government for the last 50 years. Ronald Reagan? Newt Gingrich and Trent Lott? Please!

 

Don't forget that we are the government, it is not some mysterious left wing conspiricy that you imagine.

 

Also before you spend too much praise on Mayor Rudy, remember a couple of things. First, most of the policies to reduce crime in New York were brought in by then Police Commisioner Bill Bratton. Rudy drovoe him out, because he was jealous, and he wanted to take credit for the cleanup. Also remember that crime is down all over the country because the economy has been so strong for the last eight years. (Oh those leftists, giving us a strong economy!) And while you seem to be enamoured of Rudy's record, please remember that Mussolini made the trains run on time, and Hitler had very efficient employment policies.

 

Escorting, per se, is not illegal. Sex for money currently is illegal in most juristictions. Anyone engaging in such should be aware of the laws in their locality. Laws and enforcement of them vary widely from place to place.

 

And remember, that even if something is technically illegal, that does not make it immoral. Sodomy is illegal in many states too. Would you like your precious Rudy to start enforcing those laws too. After all it is illegal.

If you really want to get scared, move to Arizona and hear what Republicans are saying about gays here. They are for the most part so right wing, that their left hands have fallen asleep. The most vile of these people are in the legislature. There is hope however. We have several openly gay Republican politicians, including a Congressman from Tucson, the Mayor of Tempe and a State Representative who is currently fighting his dismissal from the Army Reserves because in open debate in the legislature he admitted he was gay. I personally cannot imagine any intelligent gay person supporting a Republican unless they are fully aware of their positions on gay civil rights. Mayor Rudy has demonstrated time and again that he is not a friend of the gay community. I believe that not only gays, but everyone interested in civil rights will support Hillary. My check is in the mail.

I've got to say that I'm a little dismayed by any accusations by other escorts that my motives about alerting your readers of recent arrests in the NYC area were motivated by anything more than the need I felt to pass on information provided to me. Frankly, I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one to let you know about it.

 

For the record: A) I did not ask HooBoy to post my original letter to him regarding the arrest, nor did I know he would post it - I only wanted to let him know what I was hearing - so any accusation of self-promotion on my part is ridiculous; B) the escort for whom bail was set was charged with a Class D Felony (promoting prostitution) on Long Island, a charge for which bail IS appropriate under the law; C) information about the arrests came either directly from the person arrested or from panicked friends who contacted me; and D) the limited advice I provided to this site came from my experience as an escort, as well as the legal knowledge I retained from the three years of law school and 4 years of legal practice in my backround. I hope this clears things up.

 

My motivation and message is and was this: keep your guard up, gentlemen.

Last arrest I heard about was at the Best Western Seaport on Dec 21 last year. I keep up on this stuff and haven't heard anything about any other arrest in the area since. Everybody just be careful! Never talk about what you do and don't do other than what you charge for your time.

Very sorry for the confusion on the names. I will be more careful in the future.

 

Kevin was new at the Gaeity that week, but he is my new all-time favorite French Canadien, and I have had many, many experiences with the lovely French Canadians. He is beautiful and sexy and affectionate and passionate. He was very interested in making sure that I was pleased. He says that he is bi-sexual, but he certainly knew how to please a man.
