I'm going to Toronto in a couple of weeks. I've been to Remingtons many times and usually enjoy myself there very much. I was wondering if there are any other strip clubs downtown. I know where Heavens is, but have never seen the show there. Is it worthwhile or should I stick with Remingtons? Also if anyone has any cute young escort tips for Toronto feel free to post them. I'll pick up the gay papers when I get there to see who's around... Thanks in advance.

Toronto Srip Clubs

Unlike Montreal T,O. really just has the one place. Remingtons. Have you visited their website?http://www.remingtons.com

Although I hate the location it is a great spot I sure wish there were places like it in the U.S. You can have a fun time there or take the boys out. There certainly is a broad selection. By the way some of the best ones work the early shift to leave their evening hours open for other business.

As far as I know Heavens (which is really Fantasies) is for girls only. You can get in if you have a girl with you but be prepared for a lot of screaming broads. Toronto also has a couple of other such places in the suburbs.

Ther is also a Place on Church St.in the Gay Ghetto which calls itself a relaxation den or something like that' I forget the actual name of the place. Sounds like a brothel to me. If I try it Ill post a review on the BIG BOARD.

RE: Toronto Srip Clubs

That's interesting that you don't like Remington's location. For me, that's the best part about the place, right on "Main Street" in the middle of downtown. Can't get any more convenient than that for the tourist. :-) What is it that you don't like? Is it too much out in the open for you? Just curious, not a criticism... I'll be staying right on Yonge about a block away when I'm in town in a couple of weeks.

Remigton's location

Oh the location is certainly handy all right Its handy to all the teenqage panhandlers and smut shops and soup kitchens and general SKUZZ.Happily there is a huge development happening down the street at Dundas to make it more like Times Square in NYC.Now if they would just include a Howard Johnsons with a Gaiety upstairs My life would be complete.Lets hope its not quite as SQUEEKY CLEAN as Rudy is making NYC. Bottom line(no pun intended) is be careful and hold your breath on that part of Yonge St.By te way right across the steet is my favorite rotisserie chicken place in the whole world. This is not the nicest branch of the chain (that would likely be the one on Bloor west of Avenue Rd.)but it really is great chicken and the special sauce is unhealthy as hell but hey LOTS of things that EAT could well be considered, at the vey least, UNHEALTY.Its called Swiss Chalet.Any body who says they dont like is just being a snob.

As far as hotels are concerned there is The Delta Chelsea( dont get excited this Chelsea is nothing like NY Chelsea or (the REAL one either. It is very handy to the socalled theatre district but its no BROADWAY. The GAY GHETTO where most the other bars are is CHURCH STREET VILLAGE (natch)which is 5 to 10 blocks away. There are several other bars and "clubs" scattered around te downtown core. Toronto has a huge gay population. It sure seems to support a whole lot(again no pun intended) of Rentals and ASSorted BAD BOYS. I LOVE Torontp CUM to think of it and you know what? It doesn't much matter where Remington's and other such Delightfully Seamy paces are I'll be right there with you wher Remincumbad ascubrou4era>in the middle of downtown.

It's been a little more than a year since I've been there. This guy Evan sounds right up my alley. My favorite guy last time was Rob, very handsome, great body, but a bit of a narcissist. Did a fun "table dance" though. A couple of years ago there was a gorgeous blond there called Calvin who was sensational and also very down to earth.

I almost always have a fun evening(s) there when I'm in town. The strip clubs here in DC are in a totally awful part of town so I certainly don't mind making my way around a few teenage panhandlers to get to Remingtons. I've never felt unsafe going into or out of the place that's for sure.

Since y'all know the town so well, I'm staying at the Courtyard by Marriott at 475 Yonge. It appears as though it was a HoJo's until recently. Any idea how long ago it switched over? I always have a great time in TO, there's just so much to do and it's got such a great vibe.

RE: get off the toronto bashing :)

come on now ... don't be so harsh on toronto.

Yes, there is a panhandling problem. I'd rather see it in front of me, than ship everyone out to the burbs and surrounding areas just to make it tourist friendly. It's also more pronounced around Remington's because EverGreen centre is right beside it (FYI - it's a streetyouth drop-in centre). But I've never felt uncomfortable walking into Remington's. If you're closeted, then walking in off a crowded street might be a problem ... so just come out of the closet and deal with it.

Soup kitchens and general scuzz? Come on now. Unless you know Toronto (ie. you live here), you wouldn't find a soup kitchen to save your life. They are not on the tourist map and you would probably walk right on by without noticing one if you happened to venture of the beaten tourist map.

Toronto is a very safe city (barring any stupidity). I have always felt safe being who I am. Yes, I've been called names, and have slight altercations, but all in all ... there are VERY FEW places I would rather be. There is safety in numbers, and Toronto has a very large gay and lesbian population. And hey ... Canadians are a special breed.

Just my two cents worth

Soup kitchens?

Rob is still at Remingtons, but I don't think that he looks as good as he did a year ago - he's got a little bigger, but has lost some definition in the process.

The Marriott Courtyard is very new - I think that it only opened at the start of this year. The old HoJo looked rather run down and sleazy but now that it has been refurbished by Marriott it looks as if it will be quite a nice place to stay, and pretty good value too.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.

The first time I saw Rob there was probably in '97 around Canada Day. At that time he was very lean and totally ripped, he was so fucking hot. Then the last time I was there he was already bulking up quite a bit which I didn't like as much. He asked me what I thought of his bulking up and I honestly told him that I liked him better lean. :-) But oh well, there's almost always enough cute boys there. I guess he's trying to catch up to his big brother or something.

I read on the web several weeks ago that the manager was found guilty of several "morals" charges that go back to a promotion they did a few years ago where the dancers actually masturbated to ejaculation onstage. I hope that hasn't put a damper on things these days as far as what the dancers and patrons can get away with these days...
