This question is phrased as if the "new guy" is house sitting for a pet, rather than welcoming a human being to his room. Would you ask a question like this on a chat board if you were meeting a blind date? Anyone of average intelligence should be able to figure this one out with a simple, "hey, what do you like to drink." This art is often mastered in the developmental years, no? Maybe I'm wrong.

I'll say it again ... Jesus man!

RE: Welcome wagon

Gee WG, I hope I'm not too late, but here's my two cents. Guys from east of the Mississippi tend to like cucumber sandwiches and Pellegrino. Add in a couple of petit fours and you're sure to make the right impression. Fellas from out west favor a jack quesadilla and a spot of green tea.

If you're unable to accomodate the hired help with any or all of the above, I've found that your random bung hole usually does the trick just fine.

Later.

You drive a spike, and yet you couldn't manage the beverage thing? Huh.
