+ nycman
What your seeing is the birth of the internet. Prostitution moved off the streets and out of sight. jeezifonly, Danny-Darko and Wanderoz 2

Luv2play
I had to laugh when I read that someone said if they decriminalized prostitution New York would become the centre of sex tourism. I thought it was already, given the number of escorts advertising in RM. That and what I do when I visit the city jeezifonly and pubic_assistance
BaronArtz
Thank you for posting this. As a New Yorker, I found this article very interesting. It is all about female and, to a lesser extent, transgender sex workers. I would have liked to hear a view on male sex workers. I have hired for 30+ years but never seen trafficked male sex workers or underage male sex workers. The pimps, I have seen as a handful of escorting agencies but they are all of out business. The dynamics of the male side of the business seem to be quite different from what is described in this article. Andy G
In NYC these days the police have a lot of other things to worry about so glad to see this. Consenting adults here probably if they fully legalized it would be better for everyone. Remember years ago there were gambling arrests and arrests for marijuana now it’s all legal. + Italiano, pubic_assistance and Wanderoz 2
wsc
Meet in a bar and go home together for sex without money involved? Fine. Ask for or offer cash? Oops, now it's a crime. Why is illegal to sell -or rent- that which you can give away for free? The main reason street prostitution is targeted by police is the collateral crime that comes with it, such as drug sales/use, robbery, and assaults. I, too, miss the days of hustlers on the avenues, but moving inside and to the internet has taken some of the heat off the business, and that's a good thing. + FrankR, Cruiser7 and pubic_assistance
