Hi Guys,

I'd like to get some feedback from both escorts and clients as to what is generally considered an appropriate tip for a successful session. I know a lot of factors can come into play, but is there a certain percentage that's considered a good "rule of thumb"?

Thanks!

Sashek

I generally (more or less) tip my escorts at 10% of the fee - if they are good. The exceptional ones get more - the poor ones less.

First, you adeptly climb over the fence, trying to be as quiet as you can. Then you nimbly tip-toe through the field toward your target, constantly being mindful of big, smelly piles of sh...... Oh wait a minute.... I think those are the directions for tipping a cow..... Sorry! My bad! ;):D :-)

I am sure that if you search through the database here, you will find numerous old threads about tipping escorts. I would summarize those previous discussions as revealing a split as to the idea of tipping escorts. Some people believe that tipping an escort should be the norm (along the lines of tipping a watier/waitress) and others believe that because escorts set their own rates and work for themselves, tipping is unnecessary (with the possible exception of escorts working for agencies because they obviously do not get to keep their entire fees).

I make my own rule of thumb for this. LOL. First and foremost, I don't always tip monetarily (nor do I really feel like this should necessarily be expected). Generally, the reason I'd tip is if I felt the person went out of their way as far as what I'd expect and treated me really extraordinarily well. And usually when I do tip, it's not a lot monetarily - it ranges from $20 to $50. Not a tip, but I see tips as an extra "Thank you for treating me so well."

Now, in addition to this, I always try to treat escorts really, really well as far as accomodations, meals, etc. While not exactly a tip, I'd think it's something to consider too.

*shrugs* I think it's one of those areas where a lot of opinions, both escort's and client's, are bound to vary.

I totally agree. If you are paying someone $200 - 300 for an hour of his time (plus whatever else crops up) that should be more than sufficient. It's not the same as tiping a waitress. She is working for a minimum wage and relys upon her tips to supplement her low income. In my wildest dreams I wouldn't consider $200 - 300 per hour a "minimum wage"

And as to the argument that a tip will show the escort that you "apprecaite him", I think the thing that will show your appreciation the most is when you rehire him for a repeat performance!

I know I'll get some flack for saying this, but Americans as a whole, are world-famous for tipping service people too much. For example, some people think that a waiter/waitress should get 20%.

It used to be 10% and then all of a sudden only 15% would be considered adequate. Ask yourself this? Who gave you a 50% raise overnight?

If you hail a taxi on the street and he stops for you , takes you 15 blocks and drops you off - no helping with parcels, no extras - do you think he deserves a tip. Bet you do. I don't - but I would probably give him one anyway just to avoid his verbal abuse.

The same theory applies to the sauna boys in Rio. Remeber those threads that cautioned American tourists from paying them too much, thereby spoiling it for the locals? Slightly different premise but along the same lines.

Stepping down from my soap box.......

Actor/Model/Waiter

The food service industry gets to underpay their employees by a statutory conceit called a sub-minimum wage, on the basis that tips are included in what the employee gets to take home. Because of this and the fact that I have worked in these jobs, I always tip well and believe in tipping. On the other hand, I rarely tip cab drivers when they merely take me from point A to point B.

As someone else pointed out, tipping has been discussed frequently on here and in several threads. My recollection of the consensus is that agency escorts, when they pleased the client, should be tipped, as they share up to half their fee with an agency. In addition, when escorts spent additional time without asking for compensation or otherwise exceeded the agreed up hourly session in one way or another, that a tip might be justified.

Hey Sashek!

Like everyonie already said, this is a very tricky subject and we all have a very different opinion.

Personally I only tip when I received a good service. I will tip very generously if the service was outstanding and I am planning to come back to this restaurant, hairdresser, etc.

As an escort, what really counts is not how much you tip, but how you do it. There are no rules. But if you want to let the escort know that you are thankfull, I am sure you will find a way. Tell him, tip him, call him again even write him a thank you note... no matter which way you choose to do it, the message will always be delivered and thanked.

As a service provider, it is always great to know that there is another happy customer somewhere. It gives a lot of encouragement to keep up with the good work.

After all, a passionate, happy escort is a very fun thing to have around... (Or inside, or on top or behind or below.... Did I loose my train of thought?)

Happy.... very happy!

Tipping? I dont Mind a tip because its a little icing on the cake, however I think after $200 or $250 an hour a tip is not totaly needed..

I feel complamented by my client for even hiring me! What an awsome complament to say he payed me..the best is when a client comes back..that is better than any tip on any day.

Thanks to all you guys who have seen me!

$250 an hour and clients have to tip to "ensure" better service next time. Come on - you cant be serious!! The mere thought of a client becoming a repeat client is enough for me - tips - whilst graciously accepted are few and far between down here in Oz. Indeed, now I think of it, the last 2 times a tip was offered I suggested the client come back next week instead - which they did. :-)
