+ WilliamM
Lerner and Loewe's early 1960's musical "Camelot" is set for the first revival at Lincoln Center in New York. The plot will be reimagined by Aaron Sorkin. The original cast included Richard Burton, Julie Andrews I believe Moss Hart directed. thomas

kyleham
I can't wait to see this only because Jordan Donica is playing Camelot. This guy has an amazing voice. + WilliamM

"In 2019, he starred as Sir Lancelot in Lincoln Center Theater's gala production of Camelot opposite Lin Manuel Miranda." + BenjaminNicholas
If it's Bartlett Sher, I'm there. Got tickets in previews. He knows how to do classics and continues to put together the most impressive orchestra pits on Broadway. jeezifonly
When reimagining this show to tell the story w/a more serious emphasis on themes of politics, scheming and betrayals, some of my favorite musical moments need to be reduced or cut. Curious to see what happens.
foxy
I saw the original production in 1960. I’d never heard of the cast. Richard Burton, Julie Andrews and Robert Goulet. What I remember most was when the scenery changed from the castle to the forest scene right before your eyes and Morgan le Fay flew in on wires and the audience gasped. It was breathtaking. thomas and + WilliamM

+ BenjaminNicholas
Saw this a few days ago. Still in previews, but it's getting there. Sorkin's new dialogue was snappy and fit the show. All instances of magic have been taken out. They still have some Lancelot chemistry issues to work on, as well as general chemistry between Guinevere and Arthur, but you can see it's almost right. They have a couple more weeks to iron it out. The singing was beautiful and not overly amplified, as per usual at Viv Beaumont. Simple, but effective set. Run time is at about 3:20 right now. Bring your own catheter. Marc in Calif, thomas, leeper and 2 others 3 1
kyleham
I also the show in previews. It was only 3 hours when I saw it. Beautiful staging and lighting. Voices that were incredible. On elf the best shows to hit Broadway this season. It's been a horrible season so it was great to finally see something that was worth it. + BenjaminNicholas
