How do you (escorts) inquire about the length of an appointment?

There have been times that the topic comes up easily. The guy on the other line states how long, etc. But sometimes it's more difficult (especially with a first time client) to just get out the right words without killing the mood.

How do you find out how long you're expected, tactfully of course. Or is a simple, "Hi....,just curious as to how long you'd like this appointment to go."

IMO that question is offputting...any advice from the more established escorts in the MC.

Look forward to your answers.

Communication Is The Key

Unless you were making a short notice appointment, I am not certain how it would ruin a mood. Most clients mention how long they would like when they contact me. Unless you wanted more than one hour (and stated as much), I suspect most escorts would assume that is all you wanted. Generally, when clients do want a multiple hour session, they inquire if you are available for a certain period of time.

Since it is important that your time with an escort be relaxed and unstressed, you might want to make your initial contacts, including asking of questions, via e-mail and then follow the responses up with a telephone conversation.

Hope you don't mind a client chiming in, and I'm not sure of your style, but if it were me and I were escorting, I'd probably try to be playful about it if it wasn't set up in advance. Personally, I'm kind of a tease as far as personality (well, actually I'm too shy to be, but if I weren't I'd be a tease - lol), so I'd say something like "So how long did you plan to spend with me, Tiger?" ;o)

Here's how I ask a client, if arrangements haven't been made previously.

After greeting the client, I usually give them a hug or kiss. After breaking the ice and some conversation, I casually ask, "About how long would you like to spend with me." It never seems to ruin the mood and the client usually appreciates the question. Hope this helps.

I just go at it right from the top. On the phone call, when asked for my fee, I point out that my normal fee is for a session where there isn't a clock in the room and it normally lasts about an hour and a half or up to two. Then I point out that I do have a slightly less expensive on hour version available, which obviously doesn't have time to include everything that the other session could cover, and does have a clock in the room in case they're in a hurry. I feel that going at it from this direction also opens the door to negotiations. Sometimes I even use the phrase "asking price." I tend to be fairly buisnesslike on the phone so that I can ignore that side of it once we're together. And I try to make it clear that I will do that. Hey, "no clock in the room" should be a tipoff in that direction, no?

RE: Communication Is The Key

Well stated. When I contact an escort, always via email first (heck, I don't even contact escorts who only have phone contact available), I always state what amount of time I'm interested in, and I can't fathom that there are clients out there who don't do the same, whether via email or phone. If there are, I can't fathom how the escort asking for the info, would offend in anyway a client, so just come out and ask!

Why would an escort and/or a client get together for an appointment without first being absolutely clear on the time and the rate for that time? Real scary, imo!

This could lead to confusion on the client's part and disappointment and anger on the escort's part. Perhaps this was the very scenario on the flaming thread going on in the Deli. As often stated here COMMUNICATE!!!!

Thanks for your excellent post on this topic.
