Whose responsibilty is it to book travel arrangements for out of town escorts? Let's agree that the client has to pay, but should the escort make the reservation first?

I have someone coming to my place in december. He has his own travel agent, and he got a better price than I could find on my own. I paid for the ticket by credit card.

Assuming you don't mind a client response, most of the times I've experienced this, the escort wanted travel expenses up front but set up his own arrangements (and did quite well with them pricewise). I understand why they do this - a no show on the client side would really suck, and travel expenses up front helps insure things.

 

I did have one experience that frankly shocked me, but I took it as a compliment that the escort trusted me, and it was a pretty nice show of good faith. This escort flew in to see me, and he didn't require ANY payment up front at all - he just arranged it, paid for the tickets, and it went great. I was really surprised by this, though, since had I stood him up, he would have been out airfare! I've had another escort drive a significant ways to see me as well, and he didn't require anything up front either. So there are exceptions out there.

I have had escorts pay for travel, and get reimbursed upon arrival. I would never request or insist on that though. My question here is not about payment, but rather who should bear the burden of searching for and booking the ticket, not paying for it.

Ahhh. Sorry - misunderstood your question. Again, from a client's perspective, in my experiences thus far, the escort made and booked the arrangements for himself (though we discussed timing and such beforehand). I'd guess it's probably just easier for them and they have to give less information to clients that way. I know when I'm going somewhere, I like to book my own stuff so I'm comfortable with everything.

I am very comfortable searching for and making my own travel arrangements, thus have always done them. As some of the other clients have indicated here, other escorts are also comfortable doing this. However, if you had met me when I actually was a twink, I would have had no idea how to do this and would likely not have made either the very best arrangements for myself, my client or the most sensible arrangements, economically speaking. Thus, I would suggest to the escort that you could make the arrangements, unless he would prefer to do so.

 

Additionally, if the escort is going to make the arrangements and you have any issues, be they related to budget or other considerations, you need to bring these up in advance. For example, while I may find a more reasonable fare to say Midway than Ohare, you may not find it convenient enough to meet me there, for what may be a marginal cost savings. On the other hand, were I an escort flying into Los Angeles, I might save a great deal flying into Long Beach airport than into LAX, which may or may not be more convenient to you as a client.

This is true. I hire twinks. I travel a lot with them. I make the travel arrangements. Of course, I do consult them about their preferences and such.

 

In this manner, they arrive at the destination when I want them there, leave when I want them to leave, and all at a cost that was acceptable to me. A little work, of course, but a lot less anxiety.

For myself I like to make my own travel arrangements. I have a particular airline I like to fly on because of my frequant flyer miles, cheap upgrades and they have the most flights from what I can tell on the west coast. Plus there are certain times I like to fly out of my areas airport just to try to avoid the rush and long lines that often happen. Also I often can find cheaper flights and or hotels then my cllients can.

Now as a client what I did twice was I would fly to the escort. If it's a area I never been I let him show me around (tour guide). One time I had to rent a hotel room during my stay and the second time I stayed at his place, now that was really fun, met a lot of horny friends of his.
