Hi guys,

I've got a quick question: Hygiene is of course very important, and it should go without saying that both escorts and clients should be showered and otherwise clean, and have fresh-smelling breath. But how do you feel about things such as aftershave and cologne? Would you escorts prefer that clients not wear these, and vice versa? Thanks!

I think cologne is great at "the office" ..... hate it in the sack! As far as I'm concerned clean "man smells" are far more appealing. I usually make that point when responding to the "what are you into?" stage of setting up appointment. Besides it doesn't burn the eyes and it doesn't make me feel like I'm dating Liz Taylor.... :-)

I think there is nothing sexier than the faint wiff of an expensive man's cologne on a good looking stud - especially if he's well dressed in a business suit.

I was in a car agency recently and the salesman was youngish, good looking and immaculatly dressed - and wearing a cologne. I almost bought a car I didn't want!

Personally, I prefer a freshly showered man. It has been suggested elsewhere here, but a mutual shower (which I personally always enjoy) is a good way to either do away with the cologne smell or clean the person up and offer cologne afterwards.

I never wear cologne and only use body care products from the natural food store, so I avoid what I consider the chemical scent that some people carry. I do not find colognes or perfumes offensive, in fact on some people, they are nice. Any scent on anyone which is overpowering or excessive I believe would be disliked by all.

The worst thing on the world is when cologne is used to mask sweat. I prefer evidence of a freshly showered escort, and I don't mind a light and appropriate cologne scent.

I vote for the "fresh and so clean" scent. I agree with little or no cologne. I also want to add that both parties should use mouthwash so they have fresh breath. There is no worse than bad breath, except of course a bad, speedy kisser. Once more like is no deoderant so one can kiss every part of your body.

enjoy your friday, guys.

I seem to be in the minority, but I love cologne that is done right. A nice scent that is applied in moderation is a major turn on for me. The trick is that you should only smell it when you are very close.

An escort that I see fairly regularly does something kind of special in this regard. He rubs a light amount into his hair. I only notice it when we’re kissing and always assumed it was on his face until one evening when he was lying with his head on my chest. Ever since then, I make a point of smelling his hair and it gets me going every time!

I enjoy scents on an escort when it suits him well -- scents smell differently on each person. Colognes and perfumes can be extremely strong; generally, you're better off with an eau de toilette or eau de cologne, either of which is more moderate.

I find Allure to be a sophisticated, pleasant smell, and it suits me well. Just 1 spritz, after having showered and dried off.

If the majority of us don't like cologne, why does it sell so well? Of course, I have several bottles that are rarely used. I guess people think it makes a great gift.

But, for the guys who do like it, why is it so often overdone?

Isn’t that really a straight thang? The proper way to apply cologne is to spray it once or twice into the air and then walk into the mist allowing it to gently waft down upon you. It requires a certain kind of skip, swoop, and pirouette that I’m sure the breeder boys find difficult. (It’s a very “Jack” kind of thing.) The ones I know would not be caught dead in a cologne waft. They probably spray it directly on them, or worse, pour it into their hands and then slop it on. Something as queer as cologne is very dangerous in hetero hands.

I also like the freshly showered man...sometimes I like "manly odor" but it depends on the man..sometimes it is just B.O. other times mmmmm :)

I like cologne but most people put too much on so it ends up all over me.... besides eating someones cologne is not tasty :(

At last someone else who understands how to use cologne! When properly (and lightly) applied I find it very sexual. Unfortunately, most guys don't do it right.

If it ain't done right then don't do it at all.

I'm also very sensitive to some fragrances (like others who have posted). But, when applied properly, it doesn't affect me.

I think you just answered the question--I bet MUCH more cologne is sold as gifts for someone else rather than for the buyer to use himself. I personally would never buy someone such a "personal preference item." I have several bottles still wrapped myself--maybe I should start giving them away--or better yet--re-wrap and give back to the giver in 2 years LOL and if they recognize it, say you liked what they gave you so much you decided they should have some too }(

Most people don't realize that colonge has a typical shelf life of about 4 years. After that the fragerance starts changing and becoming diluted. In addition other factors, such as room temperature and humidity, also affects the smell.

Don't hold onto that stuff too long. ;-)
