Firstly, I am glad I am not the only thread revivalist here. 8 year old thread, well done.

Secondly, a story was related to me about a escort not making past the lobby of the Sofitel in Buenos Aires. The 'chico' showed up and was stopped by security before the elevators, he was quite buffed, dressed in (only) a wife-beater, and full of tattoos. When the hotel guest was contacted, he had to come down to vouch for the 'chico', and off they went.

Moral of the story, client does rule. (Even when the escort doesn't have teeth!)

Distant cousin always works, no matter what age difference. You could even pre-prepare an elaborate story about how his grandma's sister Vida married your uncle Elmo, spin a yarn, and end impressively with "and that's how we're related to Andrew Jackson!"

I use god-son, since I never have to worry about family resemblances. A good story about Aunt Alice's dalliance with Bill Clinton would be more fun, but at my age I'd never keep the details straight!

I have read through this thread twice in recent days, wondering why in all my years of travel all over the world and in meeting and entertaining escorts in capitals such as London, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfort, Munich, Vienna, Rome, Paris, Prague, Budapest, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and places here from New York to Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Ffrancisco, San Diego, Seattle and other towns, I have never really had an embarrassing encounter with hotel staff, except once or twice when I opted for a 2-star hotel in Germany.

Admittedly I usually stay at high end hotels (3-star and up ut never paying more than $250/night); often using upgraded rooms as I am polite to concierge staff, always tip well, am discreet and neat in appearance, and treat the staff with respect.

I have never ever had housecleaning come to a room when I was involved with a guy. That is why they have the DO NOT DISTURB signs to hang on the door, and the inside clamp to make sure even with key they do not get in...

I am especially careful in the way they treat a guest I have. If I ever suspect a guest is not being treated with the utmost respect, I move immediately to apprach the hotel manager in a very nice way, and in a sort of self-depricating way ask, "Is there some problem?" and never, ever has there been. I sometimes am a bit paranoic about all this, and too suspicious.

I have learned - stay in large hotels and avoid the boutique ones where within 24 hours everyone knows everyone else.

Ask for a quiet room maybe at the end of corridor so the noise is kept to a minimum. Always ask for and check on extra towels on check-in (never fails that they are there, and often if I ask for extra, and tip the maid, I find there is an ample supply for my entire stay).

Be generous without being over the top in tipping hotel personnel you deal with. A little kindness and understanding helps a LOT.

On the keys -- I have discovered that most escorts I hire know the ins and outs of these things, and only once or twice was there a problem, and I straightened it out, easily. Of course I check in before the escort and so I know what the key situation is - so I will text him if he needs to meet me in the lobby (if you are very cautious, have him meet you down the street, and just walk in together non-chalantly and hedad to the room without a thought. He is your godson, nephew, your son's college roomate, a work colleague meeting you for a drink in your room before dinner out... use your whimsy - we all have done this and it is definately not an issue.

Guest greatness

I didn't mean that escorts were my bag carriers at all. I was just reminded of that conservative guy who claimed that the escort was hired just to carry his bag. I don't think no one believed him. I didn't. The same thing applies to me.

They can just tell. I would appreciate it if they think those hot escorts are just my bag carriers instead.

Here in Vegas, there's really no "rhyme or reason" to security at the hotels...Some of the higher end hotels (Four Seasons, for example have no security at all), while an older property like the Sahara has a guard posted at the elevator bank!....Any GOOD escort (in this town) will have a collection of room keys to avoid inconveniencing his client, although sometimes it IS unavoidable.

A word of caution about collecting hotel keys in Vegas. They sometimes change the designs on the keys. I usually stay at the Orleans. They have changed out the room keys three times in as many years. So check with the client first to make sure your key is current. Could create an embarrassing moment if you flash an outdated room key to security.
