Sarah Lancashire is brilliant starring in HBOmax mini series about Julia Child, at the beginning of her groundbreaking TV career teaching us about making food.
 

Bravo to HBO- Great everything: writing, direction, design, casting, chemistry. Fantastic use of humor for leavening throughout (Ep1-3, at least) and food porn, of course.  Loving it. Fans of Julia Child should watch.

I just heard about this yesterday and watched the first two episodes last night. It's funny how you get one view of a person from a fictional portrayal, and are jarred by a different, also fictional, portrayal. Neither of which are probably accurate. But I loved it and look forward to the rest of it. Kudos to whoever is photographing the food, I've heard that's notoriously difficult but that food looks delicious! I'm loving Bebe Neuwirth as Avis, much saltier than her portrayal in Julie & Julia.
