Eh, not so much.

“A person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.”

more like this (quoted from a well established escort):

Let's agree to disagree... btw I thought you also didn't like this thread.

From a smoke salmon sandwich to this? Damn, threads evolve!

Napoleon called the English: "a nation of shopkeepers" and he meant it as an insult, they saw it as a compliment and they were proven right.

I wouldn't think the left over food would be served again?....hope not!

...yet it is the idea that when guests load their plate and then can't finish it so food is wasted, or guests walk out with food, that is not acceptable to the restaurant. They will charge for that loss.

When a customer assumes or rationalizes it is OK to do it, they'd be wrong.

Making assumptions about leftovers is not the customers concern.

I remember a sign in "Matsutake sushi and steak" about their sushi buffet and it said "you must eat the rice or we'll charge you extra".

Going off subject... It's amazing to see hotel trays full of leftover food that will go to the trashcan. So much food wasted increases the price we pay at the supermarket.

Also RE: wasted food in restaurants ....we need to look to our own kitchens and shopping habit also:

Consumer wasted food

If an escort walks away from the business having invested that money in something lucrative, sure. Otherwise, I think even calling an escort an “entrepreneur” is ambitious. While one should treat escorting like a business, it’s hardly a business, and more of a strategic hustle.

If anything, an escort needs to be a good salesman / marketer to be successful. I am astonished to see the sheer number of male escorts in NYC. Looks alone are not likely to sell. You need to know your market, position yourself, offer a good service and build a steady clientele.

I thought you didn't consider this thread to be worthy of the forum or that's what you and another poster insinuated earlier.

Quote me, I missed that part.

Planning a trip (running an ad, collecting would-be-clients phones and emails, looking for the right ticket and hotel rate) hoping/expecting to make a profit is an entrepreneurial activity to say the least.

When you have nothing to show for it, (which is most escorts), then all they’ve done, put simply, is gambled.

100%. It requires you wear so many hats. Resting on pretty isn’t the ticket to a successful run in the business.
