image search reveals the pictures belong to an Argentinian "traveller" and "marketing" guy who was in Palermo (Buenos Aires) four hours ago and in Argentina, too, seven days ago

I have a question, though. If it is Instagram, I have also detected discrepancies in location by date compared to an ad location.

 

But there is nothing to stop me, in NYC for example, from posting a photo with a location caption anywhere in the world.

 

It could be a photo kept on reserve. Is this not also a way for a provider to cover tracks? "Oh, that is not me escorting in NYC ... I am/was in Buenos Aires and the pics were stolen."

Oh, I just assumed you situated the photo owner in Argentina thru Instagram. I do not do reverse image search. Where, in fact, did that function/procedure lead you in order to position the photo subject in Argentina? Another social media source?

I did do a "search google for this image" (right click in Chrome) on his ad pictures and very quickly found his IG with Argentinian origins.......but I don't know the intricacies of IG re: finagling location/time/what-have-you.......

Oh, I thought you were hypothesizing that an ad could be fake because the fellow's social media posted a picture in a far off city on the date that he was allegedly in, say, NYC.

 

What I am saying is that IG evidence cannot really support the hypothesis.
