The Southern Tier . . . I haven't heard that expression since I was in high school (in Upstate New York). I didn't think anybody used it anymore.

It's beautiful. Lots of pretty little towns. There's one semi-major city-Binghamton. But it is kind of isolated.

It's still called the Southern Tier. Saw a hockey game in Binghampton last year and half the advertisements made reference to the Southern Tier
