Providers who have been in the business for a long time and treat it as their primary occupation seem to like it when clients make appointments weeks in advance. They also tend to know whom a large fraction of these people are, which allows them to trust that a large fraction of these appointments, esp. the longer ones will materialize.

 

Less established guy and, esp. younger guys, seem much less organized about how they do business and don't have a base of regulars and may not know how much they want/need to cultivate them. The established guys are pretty easy to identify--who has the large numbers of reviews on Daddy's over a period of time. The guys who might become full-timers are more difficult to determine, but it's safe to say that Plan B always works with someone hasn't been around.
