UK says U.S. intelligence shows shocking evidence of Russian aggression

LONDON (Reuters) – U.S. intelligence about Russian plans to fabricate a pretext for an invasion of Ukraine show shocking evidence of Moscow’s aggression, British foreign minister Liz Truss said on Thursday. “This is clear and shocking evidence of Russia’s unprovoked aggression and underhand activity to destabilise Ukraine,” she said on Twitter. “This bellicose intent towards a sovereign democratic country is completely unacceptable and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms.” (Reporting by William James; editing by Michael Holden)
